If you love your love ones, I highly recommend you do not send them here. My grand dad was supposed to be here for 4 weeks for physical therapy and it was only a week. The staff mistreated him by spanking him, stole his clothes, he was dyhrated, had a urinary tract infection that was noticed by a healthcare family member , and all medicine wasn''t given. My whole family is upset because we thought he was getting the proper care he needed.

Please do not put your loved one in this facility! The conditions are dismal. They are grossly understaffed. The few workers they do have are overworked and underpaid. I assume the thousands upon thousands of dollars they take in monthly per patient goes to administration and private owners, because it surely doesn''t go to the workers or for upkeep of the facility. The rooms are worse than a correctional facility. The walls are an off white color with dirt marks everywhere. The furniture must be from the 1970''s. It''s old, ragged and ugly. They don''t even provide TVs in the rooms. The food is horrible. It''s either overcooked or cold. I looked at the same sticky spill in the floor of my dad''s room every time I was there. It was never cleaned up. The residents are not talked to or told what''s going on. They don''t listen to them. These are elderly people who have lived their lives taking care of others and just need some help and attention. It''s not going to happen here. They are treated like numbers, not people. The only ones who do a decent job are the therapists. I imagine part of that is because they make a decent salary. Please pass this place by when you''re looking for a home for your love one.

If you care anything about your "loved one," don''t send them to Diversicare in Eupora. My mother was sent there for rehab. In the first week, her new blanket was stolen. She wasn''t bathed for 2 weeks (confirmed by an aide who checked her chart when asked), and we''ve come in to visit to discover her bed soiled in urine, often that has already dried without any notice. Her bed has even been made when the sheets were wet. This is not something you do without noticing- it''s something you do without caring. They also put her soiled clothes in the drawer with her clean clothes. I''ve worked in a nursing home before and this level of care is unacceptable. The aides respond to questions and concerns with "attitude" and a lack of compassion. Our loved ones come into places like this in frail and sometimes helpless conditions, and to be treated and neglected in this manner is an outrage. If you have another option, please take it and avoid sending your loved one to Diversicare.
