Danbury Senior Living of Massillon is an amazing facility. From the first time I called in & talked to the receptionist, Roberta, my brother and I then met with April to set everything up for mom's enrollment, April took alot of time talking with us & answered all our questions that we had, which calmed our hearts, because it was one of the hardest decisions we've had to make for our Mother to leave her house of 58 years. It was like a weight was lifted off of our shoulders on where our Mom was going to be cared for & treated good, which we are surely blessed by a loving, compassionate, genuine Staff that treats her like their own families & we couldn't have chosen a better home for her. Each & every Staff member is an Angel in their own special way & from our family to yours, we Thank You from the bottom of our hearts, for all that you do each & every day for our Mom & all the residents. In my eyes, I would give Danbury 100 Stars, because that's how beautifully wonderful they are. If you have a family member looking for a comfortable place like home, you'll have it at Danbury Senior Living of Massillon. It's been a blessing for our family & hopefully yours, which Mom will be there 1 year in October 2023. May The Lord Bless You & Keep you!!

My parents made the decision to sell the house and move to Danbury on their own when they were still able to live independently although with failing health, particularly my dad. They could see he would deteriorate from Parkinson's. While living independently they enjoyed the activities and one meal a day in a suite with a full kitchen and an outside patio door. For the 2 kids living an hour away, the safety of being in a center was comforting. This was pre Covid. Covid was hard for everyone involved. It was clear that Danbury took the situation seriously and kept residents as safe as possible. As Dad's condition worsened, they could no longer live independently and moved to a smaller apartment without a kitchen. The staff really stepped-up assisting Dad as he became totally dependent. Staffing, activities, and resident population have been returning to pre-Covid levels. I don’t have direct experience with any other center to compare but have heard enough stories to be comfortable that they have been at Danbury Massillon. The staff has always been courteous and helpful.

Over the past almost seven years that my mother was at Danbury we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. As her needs increased the price also increased but they did not add additional staff to aid in the increase of help needed. We loved the RAs but do feel that they are overworked with the number of residents and their needs. 2 assistants for 24 very needy residents seems like not enough help. The facility was very clean and beautiful and the courtyard was lovely. The staff was so kind and compassionate especially the last 24 hours of her life.

My Father and Mother were both residents at Danbury Massillon. My Dad was in assisted living, my Mom in memory care. They both received excellent care. In memory care the resident assistants treated my Mom and the other residents like they were members of their own family. I came very close to RA Chara, who was so very good with my Mom and me as well. Temple and LaShonda were other RA 's who helped. Nurse Justine and Elaine also were excellent. Also want to thank Brian, who played the piano and organ for the residents and keeps the facility in great shape. His compassion toward myself, my sister and Mother during her final day was far above what was expected. His prayer was very heartfelt and so greatly appreciated. I love everything about Danbury and everyone employed there from Nicole, the director, to the kitchen staff ,the receptionists, the office staff, the activities department and housekeeping. Highly recommend Danbury.

My mom has been a resident of Danbury Senior Living for the past 6 years. She tells me all the time how much she likes it there and how safe it makes her feel. The staff are attentive, friendly and supportive. The apartments are roomy and well maintained. They have a lovely courtyard that mom really enjoys during the summer months. The facility itself is quite attractive and kept sparkling clean. They always have fun daily activities and regular family events that are such an enjoyable experience. The staff make it a point to reach out and keep me informed about anything that might be going on with mom. I am grateful that my mom is so well looked after and I don’t have to worry about her when I can’t be there. Danbury Senior Living is such a blessing to my family and a very important and valuable addition to our lives.
