This facility was unacceptable. My brother complained the entire week after his admission, on Saturday, that he was not receiving enough oxygen. Instead of this facility realizing that perhaps they were not able to meet his oxygen needs they simply did nothing about it. I purchased an oxygen saturation finger monitor to check his oxygen level myself. His oxygen level was 82! The normal rate is 100% and anything lower than 90% is critical. My mother and I returned the following morning to take him out of there, however, we were informed by the physical therapist that he had been "taken out this morning". When we arrived at the emergency room where he had been taken we found him on a ventilator. He had become unresponsive in the ambulance en-route, his oxygen saturation in the ambulance was 60%! He nearly died! Do not trust your loved ones care to the unqualified "un" professionals at this facility. Everyone knows that nursing homes are suspect for mistreatment but when a family has nowhere else to turn we must put our trust into their hands. The physical therapists seemed to be the only ones who showed any compassion, they were excellent with him and would have helped him gain his strength back had the so-called skilled nursing staff done their part. I would not recommend trusting anyone at this facility. The social worker told me a bucket full of lies. 1, reason we did not receive a call when he was taken to the hospital was because they did not have our contact number in his chart. Really? Because that was the first thing I made sure of upon his admission so obviously someone did NOT do their job entering or updating the emergency contact info into his chart. 2, that we were "welcome" to look at his oxygen levels, that they had been stable. The fact is I knew it was critical on Sunday at 82% and by Monday it was only 60% so I''m sure they will "Cook their Books" to make it "appear" that he was fine all along. 3, he repeatedly complained about not getting enough oxygen for an entire week. He also asked to be moved out of a room where the room -mate had the heat up so high even I was uncomfortable visiting. The extremely warm air and room temperature added to my brothers difficulty in breathing. On Thursday they moved him to a room with a resident whom, for no fault of his own, made very loud verbal noises and screams which further added to my brothers stress level. This place is a death trap and my brother was very fortunate to make it out alive although he is still very critical and on a ventilator and in ICU as well as on antibiotics for an infection somewhere in his body that they are trying to find. After reading another terrible review on here about this place and the laundry room violation I am not surprised.
