My friend was locked down here for 2 weeks of her 20 day stay allowed by insurance. No PT was done, no showers were allowed, and NO pain management was given for her injuries. Her Advil was taken away, as well as her prescription pain patches. She was not allowed visitors, or the freedom to walk around and try to regain her strength. No fresh air . This is NOT a rehab facility, this is a warehouse for the elderly. Do not send patients here for physical therapy or recovery. They are understaffed and uncaring. The call time can be hours to get a nurse to show up, and they are seldom helpful. The staff is overworked, and the doctor is borderline incompetent, only attempting to pad the insurance bill with unnecessary tests and extra procedures. ( TB shot ? ) Her 20 days of rehab and physical therapy were spent in bed, waiting for meals. She also suffered an injury while inpatient here, due to neglect from the nursing staff. The fall caused significant injury to her leg, and will require further attention, in addition to her original injury, at a competent physical therapy center. This in-house injury will double her recovery time, and no pain management was practiced for her new injury. She was forced to ask for her own Advil, one pill at a time. The response time was always significant. The Montana state board regulating medical facilities will be contacted, and a formal complaint will be filed. The insurance company will also be notified of possible medical billing fraud, so please be aware. This facility is not staffed , trained, or willing to care for patients needing physical therapy and Pain Management. Try elsewhere.

The Crest Nursing Home, is in desperate need of some crucial and necessary changes. They require an enormous amount of employment restructuring, to insure a more competent, reliable, and efficient Staff Management Team. In which case they seriously lack this time. A State mandated superior to train, instruct, and oversee the administrative staff and management staff , State governed, or perhaps just shut down. Because, the current Administrative and Management Staff employees at The Crest are ineffectively performing the duties in which they are hired to do. The inability to maintain accurate and concise financial records, medical record and treatment care plans are not being conducted or implemented, with the families of the residents. The residents right to receive proper health care and medical treatment have been seriously neglected and compromised. Which puts their safety and health at risk. The inept record keeping in a patients chart, their personal contact list, and family members or guardians aren''t informed or notified of changes in their loved ones health. Administrative staff members are to blame for this inadequacy. They lack the essential job skills necessary and required to effectively fulfill the duties of the position they were hired for . Residents are receiving inadequate medical treatment and healthcare in multiple areas. There are a couple of incompetent employees in Mgmt and Nursing Staff. Furthermore, they could use a protocol put in place implementing a mandatory sign in sheet and log, and include checking or request visitors present valid ID before allowing just anyone to visit a resident or patient. This would further provide safety and protection for a resident at The Crest. And prevent the availability of any repeat offender''s history of abuse toward their intended or previous victim.
