Country Meadow Place Rolls Out the Red Carpet
Country Meadow Place is proud of its Red Carpet Hospitality Program, which puts the needs and preferences of every resident first. As a result, seniors are welcomed with open arms, given everything they need to thrive and greeted every day with a smile and a kind word. Other innovative programs make life here great at this community. For example, LifeShare is an easy way to stay in touch with family, Live 2B Healthy offers fun, senior-focused exercise classes and Dare to Dream fulfills one resident’s wish a month (think hot air balloon rides and trips to Las Vegas).
The daily activities calendar keeps things lively, too — seniors do arts and crafts projects, join Garden Club, attend happy hour socials and get together for movie nights. When they’re not engaged with the events program, residents enjoy a spa, an on-site beauty salon/barber shop, beautiful walking trails and a game room with a pool table. Country Meadow Place also offers convenient transportation to restaurants, shops and attractions like Clear Lake State Park, Central Gardens of North Iowa and Music Man Square.
Live a Worry-Free, Chore-Free Lifestyle at Country Meadow Place
Country Meadow Place offers lovely one-bedroom, one-bath apartments with complete kitchens/kitchenettes, cable TV, WiFi and private bathrooms. Seniors never have to worry about chores — housekeepers clean up and do laundry, maintenance crews tackle those tedious tasks and chefs prepare fresh, delicious meals three times a day.
Also, trained caregivers are around 24 hours a day to offer residents the assisted living support they need to thrive, from medication management to assistance with activities of daily living (grooming, dressing, bathing, mobility and more).
For seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, the Gardens community at Country Meadow Place provides secure outdoor spaces, 24/7 monitoring, personalized coaching for life skills and cognition-focused activities. Specially trained caretakers in the Gardens neighborhood get to know each senior personally, learning their story, understanding their needs and helping them live their best lives.

I toured Country Meadow Place for my dad. It was very pleasant, very homely, and very community-based. It was very clean and didn't have a chemical smell. It was a clean smell and fresh. It also was very open. The staff was very polite and very knowledgeable. We saw the common area, dining area, activities area, and the workout area or the physical therapy area. We also saw a 1-bedroom. I thought it was very spacious and easy to get around. The cable access was easy and individuals could rearrange it to their wants or needs.

There seemed to be a lack of communication with the staff and the aids and making sure that the residents have everything and know what they need to know. There was a medication that we had an issue with making sure that our loved one got it on time. They also had nothing at this community and I did not know this we had to bring in everything for our loved one, he needed sheets and everything for the room and I felt like they should have said something about this. They stated that there would be activities for my loved one and we never seen those activities happen for my loved one. I heard so much about this community being a great memory care center and they did not really cater to this for my loved one. I do not feel like they lived up to our needs.

It was a pretty good tour. The staff during the tour was friendly, nice, and very communicative. They had a snack bar for the people that live there. It was a pretty nice facility. It's open, clean, and well kept. It felt pretty homey.

When my family was hospitalized because I had to explain to the staff to send my family to the ER because their nurse wasn’t available! ( I am a nurse and this lady treats her job as a vacation! ) the hospital assessed and said “ she is coming from country meadow place ? We can tell!” Due to covid it was hard to move anywhere else . Our other family ( yes my other family died ) won’t move now because they feel they need to be there to watch their friends . Because no one takes care of the clients ! When you bring up complaints the manager acts like a car salesman ! Oh and he has no training in healthcare. Ask when everyone has had Alzheimer’s training and watch their face Iowa law says you need it within a year of employment! And don’t even bother asking about the meds they are giving your family they have no clue what they are . My family got am meds at 1pm Iowa law is two hour window before and after scheduled time . Please reconsider elsewhere !

Where do I start ? My family gets their morning meds at noon sometimes. Had to beg nurses to get a urinalysis for my family who had a very bad Uti . The tik toks they do with their masks around their chins are cute . And the language they get creative with the f word.
