The level of care and concern for the patients is non-existent. My elderly, very Ill and mostly deaf father was there for rehab. They added many medications without ever being examined by a doctor. The level of care and concern for the patients is non-existent. My elderly, very Ill and mostly deaf father was there for rehab. They added many medications without ever being examined by a doctor. These included sleeping pills that didn’t help him and made him very weak and spiraled his rehab negatively to the point he couldn’t walk. They stopped giving him some of his necessary medications and didn’t even notice how poorly he was doing. When I requested changes (stop sleeping pills and give others that weren’t being given), they ignored me. The nurse then went to my father and reprimanded him and told him it was his fault as he should have told them he didn’t want the sleeping pills. He never asked for sleeping pills, he didn’t understand he was being given them! This place is like a 100 year old institution that does what they want to control the patient. I would highly recommend keeping your loved ones out of here. We took him to a doctors appointment that immediately sent him to the ER for care because he was in such bad shape due to the mis-management of his prescribed (by doctors that had actually examined him) medications.

They tell people that they are getting hired for a job, than dodge calls and lie about calling them back. Management said we had the job, than went on a two week vacation and never called us when they got back from vacation. It''s not like they forgot, we have been leaving messages. There are other jobs that we have passed up because they said they would hire us. Now those jobs are gone, and we are struggling to pay our bills because of the lies from management. If this is how they treat job candidates, I can''t imagine how bad they treat their residents!

I have been blessed for the last 2 years working at Cortland Healthcare Center! Everyone is so understanding and the place is like my second home! I love taking care of the residents and everyone is like family ❤️ Thank you for everything you guys do
