From The Community
Welcome to Comfort Keepers?In-home care for Bay City, MI and the surrounding areas.Comfort Keepers was created to care for seniors and other adults that want to stay in their homes, but need a little extra help doing things around the house, getting around, or just want companionship. We understand the demands that are being put upon the ?sandwich? generation (adults that need to care for their parents and their children). Work, out of state locations, and other family commitments can make it difficult or impossible to give loved ones the attention and help that they need. We also understand the strain of struggling to provide care for parents or grandparents and how it affects other family relationships. That?s why we are committed to ensuring that our clients remain safe and comfortable in their own homes for as long as they are able. ?Elder care and companionship is our focus. ??New Mini-Visit Service!?The Bay City area Comfort Keepers now offers a unique Mini-Visit service for our clients. ?We have caregivers that can stop by to check on clients once or twice a day. ?These ?short visits can last from 15 minutes up to an hour. ?Mini-Visits can be used for medication reminders, giving insulin or other shots (by qualified nurses), to prepare a meal, or take a bath. We can also stop by just to check-in and chat with your loved one. ??Mini-Visits have been requested often, and we are happy to announce their availability. Get peace of mind when you can?t be there to personally check on mom or dad.Call your Bay City Comfort Keepers at (989) 684-8448 for more information today!??

My parents were very reluctant to leave their home and move to an independent living facility. But over the past two months they have come to accept their new home and enjoy all the activities and amenities that Wescourt offers. The facility is beautiful and well-kept, bright and open. The grounds and landscaping are very well maintained. There are a wide variety of activities - something for everyone. So many things to choose from every day. They also have wonderful PT and OT staff on site, which has been terrific for my parents. Above all, the staff is friendly, kind and caring. I highly recommend Wescourt, Saginaw.

I went to Holiday Wescourt. It looked a little bit tired to me, it's twenty years old, and it looks like it. The people that I met were very nice and very helpful. I looked at a two-bedroom apartment and it was fine. It was the first one I went to, so I was a little surprised at how small it was and how little storage there is. They have a fitness room. They have a game room, a little library, a sitting room, and a restaurant where they serve all the meals.

It was a good move for my husband and myself, even though we are still perfectly capable of living on our own. It’s nice not having to cook and maintain a house and yard. Wescourt is a beautiful and bright facility. They provide transportation, but we have our car and rent a garage here.

We were there 24 hours. The help at night was inadequate to transfer my mother I had to help. This place is not wheelchair friendly. My mother was unable to get to the bathroom sink because of the cupboards underneath were in her wheelchair way. I talked to a gentleman that was on a scooter and they were shutting down the elevators for two days so that means he was stuck in his room for two days because they had no other way to get him downstairs. This does not seem safe to me. I think this would be a great facility for a independent living person, but not for anyone that is in a wheelchair or on a scooter unless they're on the first floor. The short experience was very overwhelming for my mom. I did have to pay for three months rent and we only stayed 24 hours. I was able to get most of my money back after writing a letter to corporate, pointing out some of the things that were misleading. I do not want to knock the facility, but it just was not a good fit for my mom. It's great for independent people, but not so much for the elderly with mobility issues

My loved one has a corner unit and there is extra room for a studio, it is plenty big. I did not see any of the other room sizes that they have to offer. Overall we are very happy that we chose Holiday Wescourt.
