We chose this facility because they assured my brother that they would do everything they could to get my mom out of bed and do some physical therapy. My mom is very happy here. I have not been able to see her for 9 months and the care has been outstanding, they have kept her safe. The rates are reasonable and they also have 3 different room sizes to choose from. The staff here is wonderful, they are very knowledgeable and caring. I do wish that she was closer, but I am happy with this facility and I would recommend to others who are looking.

My 89 year old mother had a fall in March of 2020, at the same time COVID was rising. She went from being hospitalized, to weeks in skilled nursing, and then we needed to find a Board and Care home for her to live in. Imagine having to manage your elderly parent's care from afar because not only do you not live in the area, but due to COVID you haven't been able to visit in person since she entered skilled nursing--and now have to find a place for her to live without being able to be there. It was an incredibly difficult, painful situation. We were incredibly lucky to be led to the the compassionate, kind, skilled team at Claredon Senior Living. Without ever meeting in person, we were able to work with them to find a place for our mother at the Cottages at Lake Balboa. [names removed] were responsive, a pleasure to work with, and truly committed and passionate about working with elders. The level of care she received was simply top of the line. Though she had dementia, she was able to share that she felt safe, cared for, and that the staff were just wonderful. The executive team met with relatives of patients on a Zoom call, and unsolicited, the other relatives welcomed us to the Lake Balboa family, shared that they felt 100% confident with the care their loved ones were receiving, and how grateful they were they were there. Any family would be lucky to have their loved one in their care.
