Shut this place down. They steal patients clothes, they dont clean there patients, they dont give there patients therapy. No person should put anyone they love in this pathetic place . Its desturbing that this place is even open. People that work there should be ashamed!!!!😡
So proud to work for The Grand for over 11 years! I have developed the best work relationships with other colleagues who have become some of my closest friends. Nothing better than spending all my work days with great teammates!
This facility is owned and operated by a company called The Grand. They do not pay their bills even with a signed contract for snow removal. I would be very cautious working for them. I believe this is happening at other locations then just Chestnut Park also. Contractor beware.

Hi!. My name is Tom and I work as an occupational therapist assistant in the Rehabilitation Department at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Oneonta, New York. Over the past 21 years, I''ve worked at several nursing homes/rehabilitation centers and I can honestly say that the current rehabilitation team that I work with at Chestnut is one of the best. At this moment I''d go as far as saying that it''s the top rehab team in Central New York. The secret to our success is simple: We are all team players and we all strongly care for and advocate for each and every resident within the facility. From admission to discharge, the needs and progress of each resident are a top priority and are vigorously monitored. And any medical or physical changes are noted and brought to the attention of the nursing and medical staff so that prompt medical care can be provided to each and every resident. The rehab team is also always concerned with the social and psychological needs of the residents, talking with them if any changes in behavior or demeanor ate noticed. The goal of the rehab team is to ensure that every resident admitted to the facility gets the best care possible and that they are ready to be safely discharged home to live happily and productively with family members. And though the stringent requirements of for profit healthcare often make the job stressful, the rehab team continues on with it"s job with a smile and a kind word toward residents.

I give it 0 stars. After my Mother had a horrible experience with constant falls at Concourse Rehab/Nursing home, I had her transferred to methodist. Worst thing I''ve ever done to my Mom, a week into her being there, I received a call my Mother tested positive for COVID. I guess you can imagine how myself and the Family felt. Now I have to live with the fact that I was coned by the advertisement and reviews. I was informed the CNA''s that attend to the residents, are the least experienced for the care needed for the patients, and their not MANDATED to be tested in the manner they have the public to believe. To add insult to injury, when I''d made the statement that my Mom was more than likely exposed to someone without A MASK and sick, I received a conversation full of HEMS and HUH''s stammering. They also had the audacity to no even give the family a courtesy call while my Mother was in the hospital. The summary is, ALL and I mean ALL nursing homes are the same, its the Capitalism on the Elderly by way of billing Medicare or Medicaid. It''s more or less a Mill to legally embezzle the government. Please take the time to think about your Loved ones before exposing them to strangers who could be danger in disguise. I ask that anyone thinking Nursing homes PLEASE be proactive in your thinking. I''m making certain that this isn''t just a review for google, but in my own personal BLOG. This is of the up most importance to broadcast. Myself and Family are totally confused about this entire situation of my Mother contracting COVID. She''s currently on her way into HOSPICE. Dementia and COVID doesn''t go together. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONES FOR PEACE OF MIND.. A lot of these 5 star reviews were written by staff members i was informed by a friend who happens to be a nurse assistant. BEWARE
