We are so happy we found this place for mom. The office ladies are such a big help and bent over backwards to accommodate mom. They provided us lunch which was delicious. I spoke with one resident who has lived there 6 years and loves it there.
Such a great place that has only gotten worse over the years. When is this management company going to realize their ED is running this location into the ground? Making up lies just to make herself look good. Not addressing the problems and simply collecting a check! Maybe attend a “stand up” to...
Such a great place that has only gotten worse over the years. When is this management company going to realize their ED is running this location into the ground? Making up lies just to make herself look good. Not addressing the problems and simply collecting a check! Maybe attend a “stand up” to see how poor these meetings are “led”! Residents and staff are leaving for a reason. I will no longer refer anyone to this facility!

We loved Celebration Village. I liked the options in the club area. There were several rooms for different activities. There's a craft room, a theater room, an activity room where they do Wii bowling, a treatment room, and a social room for maybe card games or board games. It's like a center square. There's a coffee shop and a casual lunch place. The dining room is all connected to this sort of town square. It's very nice and very social. The units were very large with plenty of space. We looked at two-bedroom options. The only drawback was that the second bedroom has a tub, which to me makes absolutely no sense. If you're coming in as a 70- or 80-year-old, a tub isn't really a wise choice. They should have had both bathrooms with a walk-in shower or a walk-in tub. Other than that, I thought everything was positive. All appliances are there. The kitchen is fully appointed. It's a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator. The staff was extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. There's a courtyard and a heated pool.

My parents are in Celebration Village. It's an excellent facility. They still care for the independent recipients even though they're not in the assisted living part. They still make sure they're taken care of, so they're not independent in other words. They still have constant care. The staff is excellent. I don't worry about them knowing the level of care the employees give the recipients. They have gaming, music, crafts, and movies, they have doctors that come in and see the residents at that facility, and they have physical therapy. They have three meals a day for anyone that wants to go over and have that or they take them to their apartments. They provide transportation for them to medical appointments and groceries and shopping and whatever else they need. They're located in an area where everything is within 5 to 10 minutes of either a car ride or a walk for shopping or groceries or medical care, drycleaning and UPS, and things you might need.

The staff at Celebration Village was excellent. I liked that the dining room, the eating areas, the fitness room, the arts and crafts room, and the theater were all located on the main floor. On that main floor, there were different sitting areas where you could sit and read, meet with your friends, or just watch people. It just felt comfortable there. They have different size rooms. The smallest one was a studio and it was very small. You would have to be pretty nifty with storage, but it would be manageable for one person. The two bedrooms were lovely. Some have better views than others. I was looking at one room that overlooked the rooftop, so that wasn't very lovely at all, but it had lovely woods at the back and beautiful landscaping. The only downside in this place was that most of the apartments were separate from the main building. So, you would need to go outside if you'd go to the dining room. It's not very far, but you would have to walk across a driveway and a little walkway. If the weather was bad, it would be a little bit uncomfortable to walk. Also, I had eaten their vegetable soup and it was a little bit salty to me. Other than that, the place was lovely. The person who was giving the tour was very accommodating. She answered all the questions and was not in a hurry. I picked up an activities list for the month and there was stuff going on all the time. There's a couple of movies every day, a walking club, an outside pool, a nice fitness room, a salon, an arts and crafts class, tables that had a jigsaw puzzles set out, some trips/little getaways planned, and a bus that will take you as far as 11 miles to your doctor's appointment.

What I liked the best about Celebration Village was its layout. The apartments were around what appears to be essential services. It was like having a little city in the middle, and I thought that would give my dad the privacy that he needed in his apartment, at the same time having those nearby services and restaurants for him. Every staff that I saw who interacted with the residents seemed to really enjoy what they were doing and being able to help the people that needed them. The lady that gave us the tour invited us for lunch, and we did, and the food was just delicious. Daddy is still talking about it until now. It's rather pricey, but that's the way it is these days.
