Awesome care for my Ma! Thanks Deb!
Amazing, one of the best facilities in the state
I''m going here to meet my new coworkers. It looks like a very pleasant place with well kept lawns and very clean property 👌😀👍😊

I have been an employee of The Cedars for nearly eight years and I can honestly say I can’t imagine another organization that would provide the same opportunities for me to grow professionally and, of course, provide an enhanced quality of care and engagement for our residents. I have worked for corporate health care facilities and, personally, have no desire to return to that atmosphere. At The Cedars our whole team is present and accessible to staff with questions, concerns, or even better, ideas to improve the quality of life for our residents. One of my favorite parts of my job is engaging our residents in unique programs, like Opening Minds through Art, Timeslips, and Music and Memory. The Cedars provided several of us with training to be able to share these programs that actively engage residents, even those with significant memory impairment, in a way that emphasizes their strengths and helps overcome their challenges. I have gone on to pursue advanced training in The Positive Approach to Care to assist working with people with dementia with full support from the organization. I am qualified to train others in these strategies as well. Working in health care is hard work; not for the faint of heart. It requires a team that shares a vision and a mission, as well as a robust toolbox of techniques when Plan A, and even Plan B, aren’t working. The vast majority of staff I work with here are committed to our residents; their wants, their needs, and their dignity. That’s why I have been here eight years and look forward to what the future brings.
