The staff are exceptional and the atmosphere is family friendly. My parents are very happy and thriving at Cedarhurst.
Beautiful community which is clean and well maintained. They keep the residents very engaged, active, social, and well cared for. The on-site therapy is amazing!
Left several messages, but the calls were not returned. Hope the patient care is better than their customer service and they''re more responsive to their residents than they are to potential clients.

Zero stars... I took my Mom here for a 2 week respite stay. The best way to describe this place is unorganized and incompetent. I should not have returned after my first visit. I waited in front of the receptionist for over 5 minutes as she talked on the phone and refused to acknowledge me. Second visit was fine because the activities director was there. My third visit was much like the first, receptionist ignored me until a white female walks up, then the receptionist asked if she can help HER; thankfully the woman said that I was there first. Even after all this I considered the Google reviews and was hopeful. A few days later, Sophie (Director of Nursing) came to my house to assess Mom. I gave her all of the information required to care for Mom. Thursday - We sign the lease. After that... DRAMA! Friday - 9am, I call Mom. They woke her up late, rushed to get her dressed, fed, given meds and taken to her 10:30 appointment. But they didn''t pick her up from her appointment. Day Institute calls me because Cedarhurst said that I would pick up Mom. I rushed out but when I got there Cedarhurst decided to pick her up. I go to Cedarhurst, sit with Mom through dinner, take her to her room. Saturday - Mom calls me at 11am, she hasn''t received her 9am meds. She has Parkinson''s and needs her meds on time. I call and they say that she has to eat first. Yes, not everyone can take meds on an empty stomach. This was discussed! I call Mom back and she says that she told the girl that she didn''t want a man wiping/cleaning her, but this girl (Beth) says that "she doesn''t have a choice when living in a nursing home/assisted living". Mom called me when Beth returned and I told Beth that my Mom does have a choice and no man should wipe her again and I''m reporting her to the Executive Director. I go to Cedarhurst and someone else brings in Mom''s meds, not Beth because she is busy. I noted that the meds were incorrect and she went back to get the correct meds. I stayed, took Mom down for dinner then leave. Sunday - That morning Beth decides to have the man wipe/clean my Mom again as she watched. Clear violation of the Resident Rights. Sunday night, Mom calls me after midnight because she just got her 9pm meds. I call and the worker says that she was working alone so it took 3 hours to distribute the meds. Monday - Mom called me @ 8:30am but didn''t sound right. When I got there she was in bed. I cleaned up because the room was a disaster. Dina came in, got Mom out of bed, rushed her on and off the toilet saying that she had another 20 people to help (total of 60). I got Moms clothes, Dina changed her diaper, dressed her but DID NOT wash her up. Mom asked to go back to bed and I asked Dina to get her breakfast. I put Mom back in bed and when she laid down she started moaning and her eyes were rolling around. Clearly stressed out, she slept 4 hours. Later, I hear from staff that she fell on Sunday; NO ONE CALLED ME. I met with the Executive Director to voice my concerns. When leaving, Mom said "Beth is coming back Thursday and she is crazy". Tuesday - Felt good about meeting with the Executive Director so I fly out on business travel Tuesday morning. Mom calls saying that the man was in her room again. I find out that he was helping with other things in the room. Ok, just keep him out of her room. After midnight, night staff calls me saying that my Mom is hallucinating, she sees a "man" in her room and in her bed. She''s clearly triggered by this man. They violated my Mom and traumatized her by allowing this man to touch her without her consent. Wednesday - Mom called me anxious saying that she didn''t want to get out of bed. I told the staff to leave her in bed. After my presentation, my leaders told me to go home. I find a last minute flight and arrived after 5pm, packed up Mom''s stuff and left that crazy place. Took me about a week to get my Mom back to "normal". I CANNOT recommend Cedarhurst. DO NOT trust them with your loved ones.

If you are coming here as agency be careful!! Residents lie on agency here!! A resident stated I shoved pills down her throat when that was not true and simply stated that she lied due to hating agency. The staff here are very rude!! You barely get help! The residents aren’t taken care of properly for the short time I was in the building it stunk and people were soaked when I was passing pills!! The faculty knows the resident was lying and has had issues with her lying on others. They still choose to DNR. Please be careful coming here and don’t put ur family here!!!
