My mother is at Cedarhurst of Kenosha. They've got very friendly staff. They're very concerned about her care. They have a lot of activities. It's very clean. I would live there myself. They have bingo, exercise, and field trips where they go to some of the local stores, go grocery shopping, and do mind stimulating like word searches and crosswords. Everything is voluntary. They don't push anybody to play or do any of the stuff. They just encourage them to participate. They also have live music. They had a barbeque one time. It's reasonable.

** Update 4/1/22: Laneesha continues to go above and beyond with the transition from Meadowmere to Cedarhurst. I''m so happy with the smooth transition. Thank you Laneesha! I moved my mom into Meadowmere in April of 2019. From the first meeting with the Sales Director, Diana to the on-going interactions I have with Laneesha, the Director along with every team member, they always go above and beyond to support my questions, concerns and requests. It has been a challenging time with Covid; but i feel 100% at ease that my mom is well taken care of. I highly recommend Meadowmere to anyone looking to house their parent(s) as they age.

Cedarhurst of Kenosha was super nice. When you walk in their doorway, it's very inviting. They have a fireplace and a nice spot for people to sit on. They have a nice library area and a wonderful craft area. You can tell that they do a lot of crafting with them. Their cheaper apartment was pretty nice. It had its own living room and a separate bedroom. Their bigger room was very nice, too. I loved all the rooms. It felt like you're in a hotel or you're staying someplace where it's not quite like regular assisted living. They are also going to be doing a lot of remodeling. The dining area was very nice. You can sit there and look outside. There are a lot of windows across from it. They did a lot of housekeeping and mopping when I was there. You can do the laundry yourself or they can do it for you. The lady was really nice and very concerned. They don't take Medicaid though. So, that might be a problem when somebody needs one, but she said that they try to work with people as much as they can.

My brother is doing very well at Cedarhurst of Kenosha. It's excellent. Everybody is nice and friendly. He got up a little bit the other day. They have him on speech therapy because he doesn't communicate well. Everything is going very well and the people are very nice and not rude. He's already improved. He's got assisted living. They address all his needs and they're very nice people. The dining area is like a restaurant. You got a choice of different food, and it was very good. I ate one meal there and a salad. You got to furnish your own furniture and we did. The rooms are small. It's the only thing I can say against it. It's got a little kitchen area and a bedroom. They're all small, but they're adequate. They have a barbershop and that's $10 for the barber. They'll do the drugs, but it's $400 a month. I order the drugs from the drugstore and I put the drugs in this container yesterday. It's nice and clean, and the staff is very nice. They have a whole list of activities they do every day.

I''m glad I moved back in town because if it wasn''t for me going over to help my Grandmother. She would be S.O.L. Every time she asks for help they tell her they will find someone and then noone ever comes to help her when needed and then makes her feel quilty about asking for help because they are short staffed. Umm thats not her fault. You are an assisted living facility and that''s your job! Now she''s afraid to ask for any help because of that and she shouldn''t feel that way. So just to have her bed made. I have to drop evrything and go make her bed for her because she can''t get any help. Very disappointed.
