Be very cautious. They tell prospective residents rent will increase 3% annually. Rent is up 25% the last 2 years and is going up 12% again. Regardless of how much they like it, many residents are considering leaving because of the needless, unjustified rent increases.

My previous post was removed so I am posting my rating again and will also be contacting google about my review being removed. If I could give this facility negative stars that would be too high. Do not place your loved ones in this facility. The only thing that matters to this organization is their own egos and making money. Mr. Piper is rude, condescending, and arrogant. He needs a course in basic social skills as he has not shown that he has any. The staff is not friendly or welcoming. I visited this facility on 4/5/2021. I wrote my review at 9:00 am the same day and by 5:00 it had been removed. If this facility is so wonderful why do they feel the need to remove reviews written by family members who are spending upwards of $10,000.00 a month for their loved ones care. I also noticed the google review rating went from 2.9 stars to 4.3 stars in a single day. That is because they had any negative reviews removed. That shows lack of integrity and honesty. My father''s bathroom had urine all over the tile floor. My mother was having trouble using her cell phone and we were told since she was in independent living they could not get a message to her. Every time I visit I leave feeling terrible. I am sure this post will also be removed but I am happy to repost each day.

I went to Carolina Bay to help remove some furniture for a friend''s mom who just had a stroke and she needs more space to safely maneuver. When I got there at 4:40, Bill Piper was very short and rude with us. He told us if we were not done by 5:00 he was simply going to throw us out. My response was that we would work and move as fast as we could and do our best. He then simply threw me out of the building at that point. After working all day and borrowing a box truck from where I work to help, I am outraged and simply shocked at the way we were treated. At most it would have been 5:10 when we finished. Had he not stopped us we probably would have been done before 5:00. I don''t understand why we were treated this way or why he felt like he had such a point to prove. I can''t imagine how this is acceptable behavior for staff at a place of assisted living.

Excellent facility
I''ve only done carpentry work here but the place seems very clean. Staff seems friendly and the food smells awesome. I''ve been in the kitchen cutting thru to work and it was spotless.
