I was at this facility for approx 3+ months. They have a very good physical & occupational therapy team (shout out to Steve (pt) and Gina(ot) The patient techs. Some better than others. (Shout out to Angela, Kenya, Regina and Michael (Haley) all very professional all caring/compassionate with their care. The nurses.. most were very good (shout out to Keshan, Melissa & Joel) had an issue with 1 nurse as I was having an asthma attack. Summoned the tech to tell the nurse of my problem. That nurse made me wait over 40 min for my inhaler but before that he disrespected me with his language. 1 I''m a woman. Shouldn''t be talked to vulgar and 2 I was a patient having breathing issues. Luckily the respiratory therapist saw me early in the morning before my regular nurse came in. I told him what happened about 7 hours before. He agreed. I needed the inhaler not "just oxygen" that I was unable to reach from my bed. When I contacted the Director of nursing she gave me about 10 min of her time. No apologies. All but brushed it under a rug. I then wrote out an 8 page statement with a time-line and witnesses to prove the validity of my complaint. The food (thanks Sam!) Not bad. Some better than others but overall good. The overall experience was pretty good. They have some techs/nurses that are agency that are less caring. I''d like to send a special thank you to Patient Tech Michael Haley.. he was only my tech once but he became my strongest supporter in my recovery...Thanks buddy! Bless you every day in every way as you really ARE in your chosen profession! Overall with the exception of a few bumps along the way it was a better experience staying at Burgess Square.

My mom was here for almost 3months after she fell at home and broke both knees and her wrist. Her physical therapy was top notch. Mike and Gina were so caring and she always felt the had her recovery as a priority. The staff was so caring. They are short handed and have to use agency nurses at times which is not ideal. MARY was the absolute best nurse so dedicated, she always went the extra mile. Joselin was also top notch. Her Drs. listened to her concerns and worked with everyone to get mom better. From being bedridden at the start of rehab, she went home being able to use a walker and having better strength then before she was injured. Burgess lets you stay 24/7 with your loved one. A major plus in mine and my mom''s book

I have had a few people I know stay at Burgess Square and they all had a great experience there. The staff is caring and knowledgeable along with being very caring. Sam the director of food service is extremely accommodating and helpful with diet preferences and the soup I hear is the best. The aroma of the food through the building makes me hungry when I would visit. The place might not look like a impressive hotel but it does give a warm and friendly feel.

There were great nurses at this facility unfortunately not enough of them. Admission seems they only want people on Medicaid. My loved one had payed out of pocket but since she wasn’t on Medicaid they told us she couldn’t stay . The food was terrible the building is falling apart. I would rather die than be admitted there. Be sure to visit your loved one everyday.
