From The Community
It’s time to trade in the daily stressors of chores for a carefree retired life. As an assisted living community, we’ll handle the cooking, cleaning and housework so you can make it to your morning yoga class, meet friends for happy hour or curl up with a good book. With memory care, our specialty-trained staff will lead Alzheimer’s and dementia patients through our industry-leading Clare Bridge program, helping them to enjoy a meaningful and purpose-filled life. And located in Zanesville, Ohio, we’re conveniently near an array of restaurants, shopping centers and area hospitals.
With assisted living, our staff will help with medication management, daily living activities and coordination with outside healthcare providers. We’ll cook you delicious multiple-course meals and even do the laundry. This will give you more time to take a stroll with the walking club, attend a weekly devotional service or have some fun at trivia night. And while you’re off living your best life, you can take comfort in knowing that our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
As a memory care community, we’ll help your loved ones nurture their current skills and explore different hobbies and passions. Our caregivers will lead seniors down a daily path of enrichment, which includes gentle activities like brain-boosting games, music and art events and fitness classes. We’ll also help with bathing, dressing and mobility needs. And our buildings are designed with our resident safety in mind – outfitted with easy-to-navigate floor plans and enclosed outdoor spaces.
Residents will choose from a variety of apartment floor plans, each with large windows, ample natural light, spacious living areas, a bathroom and kitchenette. You’ll enjoy mingling in our fireside living room, challenging a friend to Checkers in the activity room or relaxing in the outdoor courtyard. We also have an on-site chapel, beauty/barber shop, arts and crafts studio, library, walking paths and general store.

My wife moved into Brookdale Zanesville. I like the people that work there, and I like the way they're taking care of her. She's beginning to be more cooperative and that helps a lot because she needs to be, in order to get all the help she can get. It is locked down and they have to let me in and let me out every day. They don't mind if I come any time and I go twice a day. It's fairly close to where I live, so it all works well. Her room is nice. We have our furniture in there. It's got a nice window and she's able to look outside. The bathroom is easily accessible. I like the room. They showed me another room with furniture in it and I liked the layout. Hers has a room for a couch, a couple of chairs, and a chest of drawers, and it's working out very well. They have three meals a day, and they can take her down with her walker and help her eat. Sometimes she doesn't eat, and sometimes she sleeps a lot, but she's getting better. She hasn't taken part in any of the things that they do and barely talks to anybody, but I think that's getting better. They take her out for a walk and she says hi to people and some of them know her name now. The attendants do a very good job.

My mother is in Brookdale Zanesville, and it's working out real well. I chose the place because it was clean. The person that runs the facility was on top of it, very professional, and answered all the questions that I had. I had a good experience. My mom has a little dog and it provided an area where she could walk around the facility on a paved walking path with some woods and some grass area that she was comfortable with. They spent quite a bit of time getting the room. They put new carpet, painted the walls, and put new appliances. It was very welcoming. Anything that we asked for, any questions that we had, they could certainly take care of it. It was also four minutes away from where I live. The staff is very welcoming, very accommodating, and very polite. My mom has absolutely no complaints about the food. It's very comfortable and very clean. Everything's in its place. I'm very impressed with that. They've got big open hallways. It seems like they're doing something this afternoon, which is something my mom needed. She needed socialization. I know it's helping her quite a bit to be able to do the things that she hasn't done in a while. Value for money is very good. I'm very happy with the price. I was extremely impressed with the person that runs the facility, but a big factor was my mom's dog. They just provided better privacy and comfortableness and a walking path, and she's not near traffic. It was very private. The outside was more of an open space environment.

We toured Brookdale Zanesville for my father and mother-in-law. It was very, very good. The director there was very friendly, very informative, and just made us feel very comfortable. It is very extensive. Their food selection looked good, and the rooms were nice. It's kind of out in the country a little bit, but it was just easy to navigate. Brookdale was on the lower side of the cost spectrum. It was an older one and a little bit dated.

I thought Brookdale Zanesville was a very nice facility, and the people were very nice. The salesperson we talked to was very helpful and very caring. We toured the memory care. We also talked to the lady that was in charge of the activities. We saw one furnished room, and then we saw the one that was vacant or empty; it was ready for my mom if she needed it. It was very efficient.
