From The Community
Brookdale Wickliffe is a premier senior living campus with assisted living and memory care conveniently under one roof. We’re less than 30 minutes from downtown Cleveland and all that the city has to offer. And we’re conveniently around the corner from local restaurants and shops, as well the Manakiki Golf Course, Lake Erie and Gully Brook Park, which our residents love taking off-site excursions to.
You should be able to live your golden years without the stress of having to maintain a home and do chores. That’s why we handle the cooking, cleaning and housework on your behalf. And when it comes to care, we’ve got you covered. Our trained caregivers will help with medication management, daily living activities like personal grooming and mobility and coordinate care with your outside healthcare providers.
Our industry-leading Clare Bridge memory care program takes a person-centered approach, tailoring our program to our senior’s individual needs. We lead residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia down a daily path of enrichment, which gives them the ability to nurture their current level of skills and boost their brains through gentle research-backed activities. Our residents love making new friends to share their common interests and choosing daily activities like:
-
Our signature B-Fit gentle fitness classes
-
Games like Balloon Burst, Hangman and Name That Tune
-
Resident clubs like Walking Club, Book Club, Baking Club and Comedy Club
-
Music events and sing-alongs
-
Weekly devotional services
And while you’re off having fun, our care team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
Our apartments have been designed to feel and function like home and come in various floor plans, including one and two-bedroom suites. We can’t wait to see how you decorate your new place! We know that pets are family too, so go ahead and bring them along. And we’ve installed an enhanced air purification system to filter the air within our common areas.
You’ll also find great care here, with associates dedicated to helping you enhance your health, wellness, and lifestyle through programs and services uniquely tailored to you. That means fewer worries, less stress, and more options for you to live your life well.

Brookdale Wickliffe was nice, but it was small and I think it only had 46 or 48 people. It was cheaper though. They had a little kitchen space with a small refrigerator and it didn't have the same benefits, but I think they still took you shopping, which was nice. They had some benches outside where you could go sit if you wanted, and it was up away from the traffic. I wouldn't mind if I went to a place like that. I just wanted something bigger. The staff that took me on a tour was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. The menu looked pretty good. Cleanliness was OK, but again, it was smaller, so I don't think it has as many windows, and I'm very fond of windows so I can see out. It wasn't as lit up but you could go outside and it was OK.

The appearance of the rooms looked very inviting. While I was touring around, the seniors were getting ready for a game of bingo. They were all lined up in the activity room looking very excited. They also had a chapel there which looked very pleasant.

Brookdale Wickliffe was a beautiful place. The person who assisted me was very nice and very informative. She explained everything to us. The model rooms looked very nice and clean, too. You had to bring your own furniture as they're not furnished. The halls were also clean, and the group area where they do their activities and stuff, was very nice. It's just way out of our budget line.

We went to Brookdale Wickliffe yesterday. They only had a one-bedroom and it was OK. However, the atmosphere didn't seem bright and cheerful. It was kind of dull in there. I just wasn't impressed. The room was nice. If we needed a place, that would be OK. It's closest to our home. The little kitchenette had very little space, and of course, we probably wouldn't need it because we'd be eating the meals there, but it was very small. The dining area looked OK. They had assigned tables if you live there, but I don't know if that's a good idea or not. They had the same activities. They had games and crafts and things like that. I was not that impressed, so I didn't ask a whole lot of questions.
Read moreWe went to Brookdale Wickliffe. We were able to see the one-bedroom and two-bedroom that was available. They were fine. The facility itself was away from the road. The outside is kept nicely, the regular outer area is nice, and it's manicured very well. It looked great.

We visited Brookdale Wickliffe and that's one of the places we are considering. I liked it and I liked the way it was situated. I liked the prices and the fact that it provided meals, housekeeping, and transportation. I just really liked the way it was set up and I liked the whole layout of the place. One of the things that worried me is that I didn't see any people who live there. They kept telling me that it was just the wrong time of day, but I was just worried about that. But it was the only downside. And I would want to see it again before I make a plan to choose that place. The staff was very friendly, and I liked them. They also had a very lovely courtyard.
