Brookdale Owasso was a beautiful place. It was lovely. It was carpeted, clean, and looked almost new. The upkeep was marvelous. They had a beautiful screened-in porch with ceiling fans and a gorgeous enclosed garden where the residents could go out and sit. They had lots of activities like trips to the zoo and botanical gardens. They take residents to appointments. They also had outings to restaurants. That morning I was there, they had a cooking demonstration. They also had exercise classes and all sorts of other activities. The dining area was very nice and clean. The staff was kind, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. I think this place would take good care of your relatives.

We went to Brookdale Owasso two weeks ago. The facility was very well maintained. It was clean. There was no odor of urine. It was very nice. It was small. They only had 37 rooms. The only disadvantage was that they were usually full. So we would have to call to see if they have a room available when we needed it. So if we needed one and they were full, then, you know, they would refer us to one of the other Brookdale in the area. They were very professional, very friendly, and informative. I had no complaints. They were very nice. That was my mother's first choice until she saw the next one, and then she liked that one even better. The cost was $200 a day, and that included her meals. We thought that was reasonable, and we were happy with that. We saw their menus and they told us that she could have her food cooked any certain way, according to her health needs, because she did have some food allergies. And so they were very accommodating in that way, although if she wants to eat in their dining room with their meals, she has to be there during certain times which is okay. The food looked great. We did see some people eating when we were there and the food looked very appetizing. The layout was simple and easy to maneuver. The outside area was just average. It was nice, but nothing spectacular. It was like a courtyard area with seating. It was nice, but nothing over the top or anything.

We are so thankful for Brookdale Owasso, now they are understaffed like everyone else but every time that we call for a request or a question they try their absolute best to accommodate us. Our loved one really enjoys the bingo they have going on twice a week, there is also bean bag toss and jewelry making. We see the other staff members painting the ladies nails which is fun. We would recommend this community to other families if it met their needs - just with staffing this is a good place for those who do not need to much on hand care.

UPDATE: The response below from Brookdale is a false statement and wholely untrue. If I could give zero stars I would. If you are currently looking for a safe, caring place for your loved one, keep looking. After months (12+) of micromanaging this facility we were finally able to move our loved one out. Covid compounded an already badly managed site. Even with a camera in our mothers room, the care was substandard at best, and mostly non-existent once Covid hit. Emails, conference calls, and providing video and photo evidence to corporate “compliance”, resulted in little more than lip service. Leadership from the Executive Director sets the tone, as evidenced by the swift decline in care when our original director left. There’s currently a void of leadership which is reinforced by a corporate culture of unaccountability. We are so thankful the admissions restrictions related to Covid were lifted and we were able to quickly move her out of a terrible situation. *Note that all the good reviews for this location were from 3 years ago. The site had a good ED at that time.

I was impressed with Brookdale Owasso and the young lady that I talked to. I liked it when I saw it. It's something that my sister would have been pleased with. It's assisted living and it was really nice. She was very pleasant and very professional. We sat, we talked, and she made the process comfortable for me. The apartment area that I looked at was very nice. It had a bedroom and a bathroom. The little kitchenette was really cute. I think it would have been a comfortable place for somebody in assisted living. The activities they had to offer were really nice, too. They had a lot of activities that were set up and it was nice. They also had an exercise room. It was just a nice little community.
