Now all you have to do is decide how you want to spend all your free time.
Some people may waste away their retirement years watching sitcom reruns and old sports programs. But what if you could enjoy a deeper, richer season of life? Our campus gives you, or your loved one, a wonderful combination of beautiful accommodations, spacious common rooms and a fun-filled recreational calendar of events. And for outdoor enthusiasts, we’re just a short drive from the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve.
Regardless of which care level our residents need, they can expect to discover a full calendar of events with interesting activities and programs. Why not fill your days with some of the following:
-
Daily fitness classes
-
Live musical performances
-
Baking and walking clubs
-
Arts and crafts workshops
-
Card game and trivia competitions
If your loved one is joining our memory care community, they’ll participate in our Clare Bridge programs. With several planned activities a day ranging from gentle workouts and music therapy to arts and crafts and sensory exercises, you can rest assured they’ll have every opportunity to thrive — no matter where they are on their journey.
In addition to the countless activities and events you can participate in here, you can have peace of mind knowing our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency. We’ll also work together before you arrive to create a custom care plan, which means you only pay for the services you truly need.
Many of our personal care home residents want help with bathing, dressing and managing medication. Our seniors in memory care enjoy the same benefits, as well as things like personal dining assistance and dementia-friendly menus.

We went to Brookdale Latrobe. It was very nice. The only thing that made the difference, I think, for my mom was that the place that she is at does have a little kitchen in it, and she liked that. The one at Brookdale does not have a kitchen. It was very nice and clean. We were only there for a little while, but while we were there, there was an activity, so I know they had a lot of activities. There's a hair salon onsite. I wouldn't give any of them a bad rating at all. It was just a personal choice of which room she liked better. The staff was very nice. I was there twice, and everyone was very kind. I saw the menu, and the food was fine and had a good variety.

Brookdale Latrobe was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The staff was very knowledgeable. The only thing I did not like is I did not see one resident anywhere in the facility except in their bedrooms. I didn't like that because that means my mother would be sitting in her room all day until there was an activity, which I didn't really like. There was nobody in the common room sitting. There was nobody in the dining room sitting. The memory care was so locked up, you need code to get in and out, and memory care did not associate with the regular. They kept them separate. I think it would help my mother if she was with somebody that was more normal than not normal in the memory section. The staff was very knowledgeable, very nice, and gave me a lot of information. They had follow-up telephone calls, which was wonderful, but that would not be the facility for me. The dining area was neat, spacious, and clean, but we did not try the food. Everything's posted on the walls, when the activities are and what days they are. They said that they encourage everybody to go to the activities even if they don't participate. They put them in the room with the activity, which was nice, but we were there when there was not an activity, and we saw nothing going on other than the staff. There was a garden-like patio. There's one for each section because the memory care section is fenced in, so they can go out to the patio garden and sit and enjoy the weather.

I loved everything about Brookdale Latrobe except for the price. It's too high. There's just no way we can afford it, but it's beautiful. I think everybody with Alzheimer's should be able to live like that. The halls were big, open, and airy, with big windows. I didn't get to see the food, but it smelled very good. We weren't allowed where they eat because of COVID. The rooms were beautiful. The outdoors was beautiful. They're up in amongst the fields and the farmlands. The facility layout was very nice. It was easy to get to and easy to remember where everything was. The staff during the tour was great. Everybody seemed to know everybody. They have longtime people still working there, which was very impressive. They have good 20-year workers. It was my favorite out of all the three that I've seen. The dining area was very large and open. I liked it.
