We toured Brookdale Conway South Carolina. As soon as you walked in the door, it reminded us of a nursing home. The rooms were extremely small. The grounds were nice, but that was it. The facility was dark and gloomy. The staff who assisted us were very nice, very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. There was nothing special with the dining area. It, too, was kind of dark and gloomy. The residents were not doing any activities. We met the activity director, and she was very good. She did all kinds of different things. The facility needs to be upgraded and not give the appearance of being a nursing home.

I had a friend recommend this community to me and I would also recommend the community to others. Whenever we have questions or concerns they staff always listens and shows that they care. When activities are going on, they always try to include my loved one.

I was always bringing something for my husband that he needed from home and the maintenance person would meet me at the door and would carry it to his room for me. We had a wonderful experience with Brookdale Conway. I was always bringing something for my husband that he needed from home and the maintenance person would meet me at the door and would carry it to his room for me. This happened in the first day and continued throughout his stay. They loaned us a tv when ours did not arrive (no charge) and were very kind to my husband. Every member of the staff has a good attitude towards the patient and never ceased to amaze us in helping us with whatever matter arose.
Read moreWe chose Brookdale Conway because they offered a 2 person assist which is what we needed at the time. The room sizes here are pretty good, my mom had a studio apartment and had plenty of room for her things. Overall it was a pretty good experience for our family.
