My parents lived here one year before my father required more significant daily living assistance. The staff and facility were very good and the meals were excellent (one of the biggest selling points was that my parents could order their meal from a large, full menu each day, the food was good and the servers were attentive). It is a large single building facility with typical recreation amenities, activities, and a courtesy van. The facility is attractive and comfortable with a walking trail around the complex and a well-maintained, and landscaped inner courtyard complete with a pool. It is set back from the road, hidden behind a hotel off of Broadway Ave, making the complex quiet, too. My parents miss living there after moving out in 2018. For those searching for elder housing, the one drawback is that Broadway Proper is not a full assisted living facility (at least not as of 2018). Assuming nothing has changed in the past 18 months, you can pay extra for assistance with daily living tasks like bathing, grooming and medicine management, but they do not have nursing staff at the facility and cannot support patients who require frequent assistance due to falls. They allow residents to hire outside help but they do not allow residents to live there if they need extensive medical support. My parents eventually were forced to move because this facility could not meet my father's medical needs, even though he could still use a walker. All of that said, I highly recommend this facility and know my parents would choose to live there again if they could.
