I toured Holiday Briarcrest Estates. The facility was nice. The presenter for the tour was informative and friendly. However, the available apartments were far from the main area and far for my sister in her situation to travel because she's limited in movement. They had a salon. They had transportation available. Meals and activities were available, too. The dining hall was clean and nice. It had adequate space for people. The outside was OK.

Holiday Briarcrest Estates was a lovely place. When I walked in the door, there were a couple of older gentlemen in the office, and they've got their coffee. You could tell this is probably a daily thing. They were in there just talking and chatting with the lady that ran it. You could tell that everybody around was very comfortable and knew everybody. They had their veterans on a wall in the dining room, and that was impressive. They had a bus that took the residents everywhere. They had a Bible study going on while I was there. They were allowed to have small pets. And then if you would become incapacitated, they had a person on staff that would go walk your dog for you. The staff who assisted me was very knowledgeable, very helpful, very professional, and very friendly.

My aunt moved into Holiday Briarcrest Estates. So far, it's been very good, and she's happy. We worked with them, and we got a good price for the apartment. They accommodated her dog and he's got a little patio outside that he can run around in. My aunt loves the food. She's making friends and I can't even get a hold of her anymore on her cell phone. So, I know she's busy. She's been playing poker and cards.

I'm living in Holiday Briarcrest Estates. I'm just settling in and trying to make it look like home. Things are pretty good, and they have some activities and so forth. They have a new activities director who just came on board, and evidently, she's got lots of ideas for activities for us to do. The only thing is, when I moved in, I wasn't given a tour or greeted by any of the staff members, so I had to find my way around by myself. I guess that would be the only negative that I could give. They were kind of absent when I needed to tour the place, know what was going on, when to go to dinner, and all those things. All in all, it's a very good place.

I'm in Holiday Briarcrest Estates. They furnish the food and they check on you. The staff has been great and very nice. Some apartments have balconies, but I'm on the first floor, so I have the patio and my window looks out at the woods. They have someone come in once a week and clean. The second floor is usually an active area, but I'm not into bingo and painting and some of the stuff that they have. If you want to be quiet, you can. They have a library. The meals are pretty good, and they're bringing in a new chef. I've got the studio apartment. They have bingo, card games, and movies. The price is a little high, but it's cheaper than most places.
Read moreWe picked this community because it was conveniently located to where I live, and the price/amenities. My loved one is quite happy. They could improve on maintaining personnel, since there has been a lot of turnover in staffing. I would recommned taking a look at the facility.
