I’ve had a few visits that were unsettling there in terms of the way residents are attended to...I I wasn’t impressed when I heard the roommate of my aunt yelling out in pain “Help my leg, it hurts” for at least five minutes and was ignored. When I went to find the caretakers (they were sitting and chatting???!!!) they told me not to worry about the lady because it wasn’t time for her pain pill? It was a very upsetting experience and could’ve been handled with a lot more compassion I think. Another time it was 2pm and my family member’s teeth had not been brushed yet. Or face washed for the morning. The caretaker admitted to that and said they would do it soon. Not acceptable.

If you use this place (which looks like a very attractive and pleasant home like setting) make sure you make frequent unannounced visits and different days and times to ensure ACCOUNTABILITY of care. The experience our family had was not positive. There are no call bells, and the nursing aides /CNAs we interacted with in our opinion were older and maybe physically tired? This resulted in maybe not the kindest or most attentive care you’d want. My grandma was made fun of to me by the staff because grandma had asked them if she could bake cookies. “She can’t bake!! She can’t even walk” instead of a compassionate response that understood it’s hard to lose independence and give up activities you enjoy as you age. I was really depressed by my visits.
