This place is top notch. When my mother In law hits that age she''s going here!!!!
Don''t do it. First off every positive comment is from staff or family members, how can anyone know what the room and food taste like? They aren''t allowed in. Just read them its obvious.
I have been very impressed with the staff at South County. Great leadership and care!

It’s all about how fast you get it done. it’s not about the residence at all CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) - Stuart, VA - April 19, 2021 A typical night at work: 30 residents for one CNA 1 nurse 2 Cna’s for 62 residents 6 to 8 showers be given 100+ call lights to answer during your shift Dinner trays to pick up Ice and cups to be given out Complete rounds every two hours ( 5 times ) Vital signs on every Resident No snacks available for the residents in the fridge or the freezer Charting for your shift and part of your previous shift No time for mouth care, foot care, skin care Nine people to get up in the morning starting at 5 AM Many people are total care, Hoyer lift, sit to stand lifts, two person assist It’s not about doing a good job it’s about how many people you can get done as fast as you can get done! If you cannot manage to get done the bare minimum requirements for 30 or 31 residents you lose your job for being too slow. Because it’s not about quality it’s about quantity! The people that live there suffer because of this and they are all too happy to share their feelings with you. They hesitate to complain for fear of worse care. Blue Ridge only cares about numbers not about people. The employees were treated like slaves worked to death and the people that live there suffer because of this. This is the worst place I have ever worked in my entire life! They barely train you their motto is you’re an adult sink or swim it’s up to you. Asking questions is frowned upon. When I asked how to do this job properly the answer from management is “it’s really a hard job just do it!” Pros I met some amazing residents that forever changed my life. Cons Extremely stressful, high passed, no time for quality
