Best Care Senior Living at Heritage Manor was the filthiest, dirtiest place I have ever been in my life. It's mostly for indigent people with mental health issues. They're all 100% Medicaid. They're two to a room and four to a bathroom. All of the amenities are outside with the exception of the dining hall, which smells like a 100-year-old diner in it. They've never changed the grease in their fryers. It was the stinky, nastiest place I've ever been. It might have been an apartment complex, and they took a one-bedroom apartment, and cut it into two large bedrooms, and then made an outside hall to the bathroom. They put two people in each bedroom, and then you have to walk down the hall to the bathroom. The staff who gave the tour could have cared less if we were there or not. She took it as an affront that we interrupted her day. The tour was really bad. The facility was so awful.

Best Care Senior Living at Heritage Manor was nice on the outside, but the inside didn't look clean at all. When I arrived for the tour, they didn't have anybody available. They had two people that work there, but they were taking something out of the office. So, the maintenance man was the one who gave me the tour. The staff was just sitting around and I just didn't think it was a good place for my dad. The rooms had no privacy. It was just a sheet that went across to divide the other side. It smelled, and the linen and all the stuff that was on the bed were heavily soiled. It had holes in the walls. I just saw the cafeteria and the atrium area on the side. It was at the back of a convenience store and it just had this little sign. They should tear the place down and redo it. I feel so sorry for those people living there because it was not a good place for an older person to be living in.

Best Care Senior Living at Heritage Manor is one of the four places I've checked to see about whether I was going to live there or not. It's rundown. Most of the people there looked like they were homeless before they got there. They just don't appear to be the most intelligent people in the world, and the facility is just old. The staff were knowledgeable enough, but they told me that I probably wouldn't fit in there, and I said, "Yes, I probably wouldn't." The rooms were extremely plain. The floors were like linoleum. The furniture was cheap. There's not very much in the rooms at all other than two beds and a nightstand. They have a nice dining area. It's just not what I would have anticipated for that kind of money. The staff member who toured me around was friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't really get into their activities because I wasn't really interested in staying there. The residents there were sitting around in an outside patio area, and that's pretty much it.
