It''s been 7 months of HELL! I will never come here again! Please take your loved ones anywhere but here!!!! I give them zero stars! The staff has their favorites and they are the ones in charge! What the favorites want, they GET! There is one resident who is catered to because her daughter in law is one of the high mucky mucks who works in the admission Department!!!! I can''t wait to leave here! I Will Never step foot in this place every again!!!!

First time there as a friend was transferred there for rehab. I was impressed with the receptionist. She was very kind, answered questions with a kind smile. The hallway to the rooms were wide. This place is extra clean, smells fresh. The residents room are large. Very clean, cheerful. The food looks great. Better than any restaurant. Meals are served with smiles. Parking is ample. What makes the place stand out is the staff seem to be there to help others. Not like some places where people don''t care and they are there to get a paycheck. Benedictine Health Center is outstanding for their employees. From those who are responsible for cleaning to the Nurses there is a sense of caring and understanding for seniors. The administration is included. I would love to live there myself. They have several locations. I highly recommend them.

Transitional Care - 6 weeks of misery. Nurses and PT know what they are doing. Care and respect for the patient is lacking. Some 90 year olds are sharp - don''t assume they are not! My mom needed a Hoyer Lift. Wait times were up to an hour and a half to use the bathroom. We had her call us on her cell and leave it on so we could time. The aids come in and turn off the call button within 10 - 15 minutes, but don''t come back with the lift for another hour. Nice trick to show data that the response times are reasonable. Some times Mom had to keep shouting to get help after they forgot to give her the call button. Don''t you dare ask for help during meals, snacks or med passing time you are informed that you are causing extra work and if they answer your call you are scolded. Once they told mom to go in her diaper- but she had a UTI, not a great solution.The aids spoke in their own language and were very hard to understand, and when we asked them to use English they said they were. Rough in the transfers, and often skipped securing mom on the lift, skipped the transfer belt, yanked on her injured arm, banged the leg that had surgery. Once Mom called us and asked us to call the front desk for help getting to the bathroom when she had to go so badly. The aids retaliated after this event so Mome beggged us not to say anything until she left. "Angel" is no Angel. Mom was at Benedictine in 2014 after a knee replacement - it was wonderful at that time which is why we wanted to come back after a fall. We will never go back.
