Creative arts , visiting musicians, game-playing, book club, themed social gatherings, movies with popcrn and snacks, Chef culinary tutorial.outdoor bar-b-ques. The list goes on. My 98 yr old Mom says the food is fantastic and she enjoys Chef's creative "specials" Friendly, patient, caring Staff is always available and helpful and there is no shortage of humor

We toured Benchmark Senior Living at Shrewsbury Crossings. It's beautiful. Everyone was very nice and very accommodating. They understood my mother-in-law's difficulties with being there. It was a very pleasant experience for us, even though Jenny was having a difficult time. The single room is large. The companion room is relatively small, but they were nicely done up. They were all very knowledgeable and very considerate. They understood the dementia and how she was responding to things. We were very pleased with that. We saw the dining area. We had several people tell us that they loved the food there. There was so much on their calendar of activities, it was overwhelming. They had all kinds of activities there. They also had one-on-one for people who were not into the group activities. They were doing some kind of special bingo there, and someone else was working with somebody on a puzzle. If my mother-in-law had the resources, I would have no problems having her at that facility.

I visited Benchmark Senior Living at Shrewsbury Crossings. I like the staff a lot, and the enclosed outdoor area, a secure area where the residents can go outside. The units were nice, they're renovating them. The place is slightly tired, just a little bit; I know they're in the process of renovating. It wasn't as nice as the other place, but the people were very nice. Two people took us around. I think one was the director, and the other was the salesperson or something. They were good. The facility is older. The unit we saw had been renovated and was very nice, but the common areas and all that were just a little tired.

We looked at Benchmark Senior Living at Shrewsbury Crossings. It had a very collegial atmosphere, and there's lots of good programs. The setting was lovely. The people were very friendly. The whole environment there was quite lovely. The rooms are not furnished, so you bring your own things. The staff member who took me around was excellent. They made us feel very comfortable, and they were very interested in what Dwight needed and how he would fit in. They provided excellent service. We were offered a meal. It seemed homemade. It was very good. It's extremely clean and well laid out for its occupants.

We've had a very good experience overall. The staff are all very polite and knowledgeable. Being completely new to senior living, I expected a little more regarding the care, but they do a good job overall. Our loved one is constantly not wearing his call button, but I do see the staff bringing it to him when they notice. And I understand that they can't watch him every second, 24 hours a day. He's settling in and enjoys playing piano there. He also enjoys the activities, They show movies, bring in entertainment once a week, and have a lot for the residents to do.
