[name removed] is the Best!!! She was so helpful moving my mom in and all the paperwork. A true Angel. The helpers were all so happy and positive with my mom. Nothing but great things to say about this place!

Belmont Village West Lake Hills was a lovely location. I think it's really clean and the residents were well cared for. They had the available space that we were looking for and the facility was in great condition. I think they probably topped the list as far as amenities and activities and so forth. They had quite several activities for residents to participate in and were very interesting. It seemed like they worked with their residents to find things that they would be interested in.

My husband lived in The Neighborhood, locked memory care unit, for 9 months. There were a couple of problems and a couple of wins for the facility. First of all, Keith had been diagnosed 9 1/2 years earlier so it wasn't surprising that his health went downhill at the Belmont. He had a seizure in the dining room. He had seizure medicine for just such an emergency AND was on Hospice, but they called EMS. I was painting my bedroom, had my phone on mute, and it was 2 hours before I found out he was in the ER. The head nurse took responsibility and said they would ensure this didn't happen again and that they would cover any expenses. They didn't. I gave them copies of the bills at least 5 times and talked to 4 different staff members--including the director. Fine. The bills were in my name and I paid. However, if you mess up, you should hold yourself accountable. And that goes for businesses, too. More disturbingly, he quit swallowing, but they kept feeding him. I didn't put this together until recently. I would visit and his shirt was splattered with food and he had weird thick drool dripping out of his mouth. I am obviously kind of clueless, but they are professionals. They should've known what was going on. He was still on a mechanical diet! Then the hospice nurse called me and said he was dying. The Belmont staff was great! They brought in a mattress, sheets, pillow, and blanket so I didn't have to sleep in a chair. They had aroma therapy. They had a light show on the ceiling. They checked in all the time. They were lovely. So I am torn. If your person is pretty alert, there's fun stuff to do there. The facility is pleasant and I truly felt close to some staff members.

Belmont Village is a very nice place, and we're very happy we selected it. When my loved one first got there, she had some health issues that needed some special care, which they said they could provide. But we had to really stay on it to make sure things were getting done with care, laundry, trash removal, etc. Their nursing care is good, but their communication is lacking. I still have to call them quite a bit and ask several times to get things done. I understand that no place is perfect. Her health is much better than when she was living at home. The facility is very clean. I eat there with her quite a bit, and the food is good. The staff is friendly and wonderful. It's a nice place overall.
