Extremely disappointed with a care team that should be equipped, knowledgeable and understanding with behaviors of dementia/memory challenged patients and know their difficulties and challenges. This center does NOT understand dementia/ memory patient challenges- nor do they support or have a professional team to work through a patients typical, text-book emotions that a memory challenged patient goes through. Would NOT recommend this facility or their management team- as they don''t understand memory challenged patients and the patients frustrations. Very sad they don''t understand the basic challenges of a memory patient.

My mother will be moving to Inspired Living Delray Beach. We liked it a lot. They were very helpful to us and gave us a tour right away. The girl that helped us was very nice and helped us a lot. Everybody seemed friendly, even the aides that were there, and the residents looked very happy. My mother will have a studio and it has a bathroom, a little kitchenette, and an extra bedroom part, so it's pretty roomy and nice. They have a cafeteria, a movie theater, a library, walking paths outside, and a patio where people could go and sit outside. I just fell in love with it. I have not tried a meal, but we met the chef, and he's very friendly. The place seemed very nice, modern, and clean.

No one asked how he was. I took him home on the 4th day when I went there at 10 in the morning to find him on the floor and no one had been there to give him meds at 6am and no one had checked on him that morning. Who knows how long he was in the floor.

I saw Inspired Living Delray Beach. They have two-bedroom apartments available. The amenities I saw were up on the bulletin boards and stuff like that, and we went through, she showed me the library, showed me the eating facilities, and I met a couple of people there I talked to. We were in the office a lot of the time. With two apartments available, she showed me both apartments. They were very nice. The interesting part was she smiled when I asked for the charging station for the car. She says, "We've been open for two years, and I was waiting to see how long it would take before somebody came in and asked." But I'm sure that they would put in a charger because they know that. They understand that that's the future and they're going to have it sooner or later. It was a nice conversation we had, and we're going to go back there, hopefully, tomorrow, because my wife wasn't able to join me and see what I saw, so we'll see.

Today our mom moved into Inspired Living of Delray Beach. We have been dealing with [name removed] and [name removed] and [name removed] prior to our decision about Inspired. They answered our calls and our questions always. They have been very helpful at all our meetings. The tour was extremely encouraging for our 100 year old mother. [name removed] and [name removed] made today's move in day a positive one. They couldn't do enough in making today's transition a more positive one. We hope every day is a happy one for our mother. People were friendly and encouraging. We are very hopeful having our mother call Inspired Living her home. We were treated like family.
