I really want to give no stars. My father in law died and I truly believe that this place contributed to this happening sooner than it should have. Same as a few of the other reviews, he was diabetic and kept being fed foods he shouldn''t have. We kept asking for changes and this never happened. This put him in worse health than when he arrived. We also had to keep leaving message after message to even get anyone to call us back. The rooms were dirty and not cleaned, proven by things on the floor that were never moved in over 2 weeks. Note the staff must have been given gift cards or something to leave reviews because all of the good reviews are from them. Probably a good place to work since they don''t do much, but not a good place to put someone you love. Stay away!

Would highly stay away from this place my grandma stayed here for 3 weeks and gained over 10lbs and she’s diabetic! she even had to go to emergencies at denver health because they did nothing about her severe swelling over her entire body. Me, my sister, and my dad requested that something should be done but they did nothing!!!!!! also they make you sign papers where it explains that you can’t sue them if something happens to the patient.the rooms were dirty and the entire energy/vibe of the place are overall depressing. TERRIBLE PLACE.

I have been a nurse at Avamere now for 5 years. I’d recommend Avamere Brighton as a place of employment as we well some where I’d want one of my loved ones to live if need be. Avamere believes that the BEST care is quality care that’s obvious. As for myself, I always try my best to leave a lasting impression on every person’s path I cross in the most positive way. I always have felt as if this is my home away from home because of how I’ve been treated especially by upper management colleagues. Respect, love, and kindness along with providing the most outstanding care to our patients is of upmost importance to what we stand for. This is the language we speak~ Love for all We truly have the patients best interest at heart. I hope if you’re looking for a place to work or send your loved one to stay that you consider Avamere, we’ll be here waiting, with opened arms, we will greet you.

I want to start by saying the Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy in this facility is absolutely amazing. They got my mother walking again within 2 weeks. Absolutely amazing work. But the in house care for the patients is absolutely awful. (Not all nurses were terrible but a good lot of them were pretty bad.) there was a girl named Melissa who did great work, my mother wouldn’t stop saying great things about her. All in all My mother went in for 2 weeks and had the worst experience. They are inattentive, kind of rude, they take a very long time to respond to patients. My mom’s bathroom stayed soiled all day long because nobody came to clean it, and they don’t bathe the patients often. I feel bad for the mentally disabled people who are stuck there because the care is bad and they probably don’t even know. They also released her with very little medication knowing that she wouldn’t be able to get more for a couple of weeks and when we called and asked them for help they told us it wasn’t their problem. Then stopped answering calls all together.
