Don''t know how many times I''ve tried to go down to our dining room to eat only to find out that the elevator isn''t working and that we''re not able to go down and they are apparently too cheap to have someone come out and fix it properly and we have had burned out lights and different color lights and the dining room ever since I''ve lived here and it''s been nearly 17 months. They have our maintenance man moving furniture and working on model apartments rather than fixing stuff in the facility that actually benefits the tenants.The majority of the food is frozen garbage and what they do cook isn''t much better and if you read John Derek''s review it''s only good because he''s the president of the resident council

Great place one of few in Spokane that would take me. Friendly staff and Directors. Activities are fun. Tigri Donich Director of Sales and outreach is always there to help.
It is never easy to move a loved one from their home to a new place. Avamere at South Hill has made it so much better - the facility is clean and well appointed, the staff is over-the-top accommodating and my Mom is happily getting settled. Thank you Avamere for making this transition so seamless....

I researched 4 on the Spokane South Hill and 2 in Boise (where I live) and I can tell you Avamere at South Hill is a wonderful place. It is such a difficult thing to select a good Assisted Living facility for your loved one. I researched 4 on the Spokane South Hill and 2 in Boise (where I live) and I can tell you Avamere at South Hill is a wonderful place. I''m so happy I could keep Dad in Spokane since he considers it his home. Tigri and Ken are genuine and caring leaders that will make sure Avamere is a good fit for you without any pressure. They truly give personal attention to the details and you can trust them to make sure you have a smooth transistion! They always do a complete makeover of the apartment before you move in and you bring your own furnishings. I have no idea how the other reviewer complains of bed bugs unless she brought them with her when she moved in! I ate several lunches and dinners with my Dad and I can say their food is healthy and delicious with appropriate portions. I have no Idea why the other reviewer found issue with it. In fact, the BBQ Brisket they prepared in-house and served on Father''s Day beat any from Spokane area restaurants. I made effort to chat with many Avamere residents and all seem very happy with the staff and food. Similarly, I spoke with many of the Avamere employees and they all seem happy and say that Avamere is a good place to work. Perhaps the other reviewer is just a disgruntled former employee. Avamere even has Primary Care providers that make regular visits to Avamere that eliminates travel for routine doctor visits. You might think this review is too glowing to be real, but I assure you that Avamere deserves your consideration. Your loved one deserves it and their rates are very competitive!
