The clinical, administrative and support staff at Golden Sonora genuinely care for their residents. During my visits - I have seen first hand how much they care for their Community and find joy in caring for patient''s that they have come to know as family. Team work, compassion and a drive to help others, shows me that the staff at Golden Sonora are the heart of Tuolumne County. I am always greeted with a smile & genuine greeting from the receptionist when I enter the building. The staff have a very cohesive vibe & that is felt throughout the community. From Administrative, Clinical, Clerical, Support & Ancillary staff, they all strive to provide a Golden Standard of care for all in their charge.

Avalon Care Center in Sonora is the BEST!!!! I''m very active in the daily care of my 92-year-old Mother. I work full time and must rely on the help of others to properly care for my mom. In the past 2 years she has been in and out of several nursing homes and rehab facilities. Our experiences have the worst of the worst to the best. All of the horrible stories that you hear are true. My mother nearly died at a nursing home in Lodi because she was malnourished, dehydrated, had a urinary tract infection, kidney infection and C. Diff infection that went untreated. I knew something was wrong, so I one night I removed my mother against the wishes of the Nursing Home, they labeled my mother as AMA and would not give me her medications or medical records. I took her to the Hospital Emergency that night. She spent 17 days in the hospital because of the horrible treatment she received. From there I took her to Avalon in Sonora to rehabilitate so that I could bring her home. The staff at Avalon (Sonora) were absolutely amazing. The administrators were organized, on point very thorough and communicated with me constantly. The nurses were very caring, and they worked hard. The facility is beautiful, well maintained and clean. I am blown away by the wonderful care and treatment my mother received there. And believe me, my mother can be difficult. LOL I am grateful for Avalon Care Center in Sonora, CA

I honestly can’t say enough good about the quality care at this facility. I feel comfortable having a family member in their care which is a huge blessing and relief. Things seem to be constantly improving especially since there’s been a change in staffing with new administration. The facility is clean, overall the staff seem to be friendlier and happier. The atmosphere seems and feels really good to me. Kudos to the current administration or persons responsible for making these positive changes, it’s noticeable!
