My brother has moved into Autumn View Gardens - St. Louis. It is a very well-kept facility. The staff is very pleasant. He got to know them, and they got to know him right away. He seems engaged with the other residents and he has improved almost 100% since he's been there. He is very pleased. They have activities every single day. They have a choir. They do the caroling for the residents there. They have music several times a week where someone will come in and play music for the residents. They have lots of little activities like balloon toss, dart throwing, and those kinds of little games that keep them engaged. They have dominoes, board games, and bingo almost every day. They have something called Gaelic Chronicles, which is a little trivia that goes back into maybe even the last century with some of the facts just to remind the residents of and maybe they can relate to because of their age group. They have three meals a day in the dining room. They have offerings if the resident doesn't like what is on the menu for that day. Of course, they have trained staff providing medications. They offer physical therapy for people who require it. Overall, it has been a good experience. My brother likes the food, too. The facility is very nice. And his room is recently renovated.

I toured Autumn View Gardens for my loved one and it was a good tour experience, but I found the facility itself to be old and dark. Those were the main reasons we did not choose them.

The staff were very, very nice and they explained a lot of the things that a lot of the company do not explain when you walk in there. The place was very clean. The workers were very nice. There were people that I walked past who spoke to me and were willing to explain any questions that I had. They had activities. They were having karaoke when we toured, and they had plenty of games, too.

Autumn View Gardens - St. Louis was a very nice facility. It seemed to be clean and updated. My mother-in-law seemed to be very comfortable with the access that they had between the two sections. The memory care was kind of in its own wing, but there was a lot of access between memory care and assisted living so she will be able to go over to my father-in-law if she needed to. So, it was set up very nicely that way. The staff was friendly and there was a lot of interaction between the staff and the residents. They had medical personnel that would come in regularly, as well as someone that did hairdressing. They had a lot of activities. They had a TV room, a chapel, and a craft area.

The staff are always very friendly and committed. The building is very clean and well maintained. Price seems good compared to other's. The only concern would be that it appears they sometimes entrust mom to take her medications and the doctor does not provide details about her care. Such as no access to results of bloodwork, etc.
