Moving into an assisted living or independent living community is different than moving into a privately-owned home or apartment. Before anyone can move in, the community’s care advisers have to make sure their staff is equipped to meet the person’s needs. Once the community clarifies they are able to provide for a person’s level of care, they can discuss which care program is best for their needs.
