Avista Apache Junction was nice and a little bit smaller. It was all on one floor so you wouldn't have to walk so far. It was just a little more expensive. Linda was really nice and very informative. We had a good tour there. The facility was older and needed some repairs and stuff. It needed some updating a little bit. It wasn't run down at all, but it was not as nice as the other facility I went to. However, some features were nicer at Avista Apache Junction, like there would be somebody to check on you every day.

They lost her [fee removed]. Hearing aids as well as some clothes. After [name removed] had been there for a few days, I was called on a Friday afternoon to come and pick her up as she kept trying to leave the facility. They then required that she have anti anxiety drugs to return. I arranged for that and she returned to the community on Tuesday. I was then called Friday evening to come pick up [name removed] as she had gotten out of the facility and was all full of scratches from making it into the bushes. They had not given her any of the anti anxiety drug. They were very friendly, enthusiastic people. They have no business dealing with people who have Alzheimer's and are still very mobile.

They had arts and crafts and activities. I liked that the dining room was right in the middle of everything. It was beautiful. I loved it. The place was gorgeous and the people were gorgeous. It was just perfect! The staff were all excellent.
Read moreI am very happy with the support we receive from everyone that works there. They are going through a shortage in their personnel. . . Sadly they no longer have a chef, which disturbs my mom. But she loves all the people that are there to help her.

The staff at Aurora Place were wonderful to my mom and to our family. Mom was on Hospice for two months before her passing. They all worked together to give her the best care possible. I would recommend Aurora Place to my family, friends and neighbors. We could not have picked a better place for my mom to spend her last six months.
