Right now...the facility is in a transition, so the quality of Aides is a hit or a miss. They do their job, but they are just learning the residents. Some of them are friendly. Some just do their job and that's it. The housekeeping is fine. They come once a week. I can't speak on the meals because I don't eat there. My mother doesn't like some of the meals. As for a recommendation, if you can afford to pay out of pocket, definitely. It's very pricey. But it's clean and the staff is friendly.

The Watermark at Almaden was very nice. However, for my friend's needs, it was overpowering with activities and size. It was beautiful, but I would not have chosen it only because of its size and the fact that it was not something that my friend needed. The staff was very nice. The lunch I had was very nice, but I sat by myself. They had many activities. There were huge rooms everywhere. They had a library, game rooms, and theaters. It was a beautiful facility. I can't say that I found anything out of order or anything. The director did a good job. I was just a little disappointed that he didn't join me for lunch, but maybe he had other things to do. Upkeep and cleanliness were wonderful.

I went to Atria Almaden. What I liked about it was that it is very welcoming and there's a lot of light. I had lunch there, which was pretty good. Everything is there. There are not a lot of extra expenses you're going to have. The cost is one of the things I like least because even a studio is over $4000 a month. The staff are all very pleasant. From what I saw, they pretty much have a lot of amenities depending on what floor you're on. There's a lot of stuff for people to stay active. The only thing they don't have right now, but that's because they need to get somebody who's qualified, is a beauty salon. The cleanliness of the place was very good. The room they had to show was a very good size, but the empty one wasn't as big.

Atria Almaden is a very clean community and the house keeping ladies are just lovely - that is one of the things I love about Atria I have never seen anything messy or out of place. The staff members know all of our names which I cannot believe it - they are very courteous, nice, joyful and they always have a smile on their face - that is another things we love about Atria. The dining and meals are one of the most important things to us in this stage of our lives - there has never been a day that I have gone to the dining hall and something be bad. There service is just wonderful, the kitchen staff is perfect and they always greet us when we enter the dining hall. They are very patient with us when we order and always explain the menu to us and any other specials they may have. The activities are fantastic - there is almost everything you can think of, there is always something to do from exercise classes, movie nights, arts and crafts. It is like a cruise ship that you do not get off of.

The people were very friendly. Since there were a lot of family members of residents visiting there, it made it feel like a really active community.
