After three tumultuous days at a memory care facility in Decatur, Illinois, my mother-in-law, who suffers from dementia, was asked to leave. Feeling lost and overwhelmed, we prayed for guidance. Thankfully, we found Lisa, a compassionate soul who guided us through the process with unwavering support. She assured us that Mom would be taken care of and emphasized the importance of understanding her needs. The staff at the new facility, including Shelby, Amanda, Addy, and others, have been exceptional in meeting Mom''s needs. It''s been three weeks since Mom moved to Aspen Creek, and we haven''t received a single distressing call. Every time we reach out, we are met with kindness and assistance. We are grateful for the path that led us here and for the caring community at Aspen Creek. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the staff who have welcomed Mom with open arms and made us feel valued and supported. God bless Aspen Creek. Steve & Vicki Wilson

Aspen Creek is providing top notch care for my mom. Mom is happy, comfortable and making friends. I am thrilled that she is safe. She may not know me all the time, but Lisa and Shelby moved heaven and earth to make sure we were comfortable with every single step of this process. Alzheimers/dementia is hard enough on a family without having to worry about the level of care that is being received. With Aspen Creek I don’t have to worry.

If I could I would give 100 Stars! I had my mom in a " skilled " facility for over two years and I Never felt comfortable. I decided to put a camera in her room ( on a Saturday ) by Monday I was ready to have a stroke at the Lack of care I was seeing and the Humiliating situations they put my mom in! I am beyond Blessed that my friend Lisa who is there Director of outreach just happened to call me and could tell I was upset. When I told her what was happening, she said why is she still there? I said because nobody will take her because of her colostomy bag! Lisa had my mom in her facility the following Saturday ( 5 days later )! I no longer feel I NEED to be there Everyday, I Know she is SAFE! Every staff member is caring, compassionate, loving, respectful and supportive! The owner took it upon herself to work with my mom''s insurance...Again above and beyond!! I was prepared to put a camera in my mom''s room Again but since day one I Never felt the need! I feel So Blessed to have my mom there!

My husband was at Aspen Creek in Sullivan for 5 years. They are absolute angels. They have been like our family since the day we came. The care they gave him was so good. Over a 5 year period, he was up and down with his Alzheimers. They adapted to everything he needed when he needed it. They never once treated him or us as being problematic, and he had a lot of anxiety with his sundowners. He was treated with such dignity and respect. He wasn't treated like he was just another patient. They just knew what he needed. I went everyday, and it was like spending the day with my family. At the end, they made sure all of us could be there and were comfortable. They made sure we had a place to sleep, that we had meals and snacks, but most of all that he was still so well cared for and was comfortable. They actually added staff to make sure he had what he needed. I really cannot express in words my gratitude for everything they did for us.

My dad lives here and we are beyond happy!! We loved him from another facility to Aspen Creek of Sullivan because of some care issues. From the moment we walked in the door to tour we knew this was the right fit. It’s perfect all the way around. This is a home, and is super nice and comfortable. But even better is the care they give my dad. He loves all of the staff and they truly love him. If something is going on carewise, they call us and talk through it. They don’t just decide without us. THANKFUL, GRATEFUL and RELIEVED are just a few words to describe how we feel about Aspen Creek

My Mother spent the last 6 weeks of her life in Aspen Creek. While it was a short time, her care there was excellent. The staff was very personal, friendly, RESPECTFUL and quite attentive to her needs. When she fell and had to be rushed to the hospital, the manager, [name removed], accompanied my mother and stayed with her (or assigned a staff member) so she was never alone. I found this to be exceptional. I ate there myself a few times and the food was very good. The common living area and dining room was very pleasant and not at all like a typical institution. Everything I saw was clean and orderly at all times. They take great effort to create a homey environment, which is hard to do under the circumstances. The surrounding neighborhood is a pleasant family neighborhood and mostly surrounded by cornfields, not too surprising in Illinois, but a welcome change from a big city. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about Aspen Creek.
