Management is poor. Fired head chef with subsequent slip in dining quality. Unresponsive to residents’ concerns. Few activities. Fiscal management is not clear. Facility is shabby, with deferred maintenance.

Armour Oaks Senior Living was a nice place. They have nice apartments. I haven't tried their food, but I saw some of it and it looked really good. They have a lot of activities and it would be a good place for my brother. It was a nice visit. They did a good job. I think their floor plans were pretty much the same. Each room has what they call a sunroom, which is a place where a person can go and just kind of relax a little bit. That was very nice. I looked at a one-bedroom. I think it's a good place. I'm going to take my brother there and let him look at the place himself. It's not perfect, but it's nice.

My mother stayed at Armour Oaks Senior Living for about five years. We chose independent living, and then she moved over to the assisted living. The independent living there was beautiful. It was excellent. The staff was excellent. On special occasions, they had really good food. The activities were excellent as well. They had family activities once a month, and they were excellent. They had a really beautiful room for families to get together and have dinners with the residents. They had a big television room, a pool table, and a church facility.

The most I liked most about my tour of Armour Oaks Senior Living was the beautiful setting. The building was old but it was beautiful, it just had a feeling of history about it. The person who gave us the tour seemed very helpful. We saw their dining room and the patient rooms, and I liked the layout of the place. The bedroom sizes were very small, it was probably the smallest of all places that we saw. The facility looked clean to me. There are a lot of nearby facilities including hospitals, restaurants, and shopping.

I thought this would have been a nice place for my dad. I completed the application, then had to turn in the back up. Once that was done, it was one thing after another. Someone was sick, someone was on vacation, then the same person was sick. I had to request a decision had to be made in place of this person, however, I made it for them, and didn''t put my dad there. It''s hard enough that you have to make the decision to place your love ones in a facility, but when they make it even harder, it makes you wonder. I wish those of you the best of luck, this process is very difficult for me and my brother. It''s not something that our family would normally do. I found that a lot of people in the industry is very short. They don''t really know how to explain the process.

My uncle is in Armour Oaks Senior Living. They've been very accommodating and clean. He's safe there. He gets three full meals, so it's everything we expected. He loves the food. His apartment is very nice and clean and they come and clean once a week. They have bingo, entertainment, and movie night. He doesn't participate much in the activities, but they're trying to get him more involved in that. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They will contact you back if you don't get them on the phone and they have taken care of everything we asked them to do. They have an exercise room and places where they sit outside.
