I would rate them zero if I could, they treat their workers terribly. they set a mandate for every nurse and CNA to stay until 3 PM on Christmas due to low staffing, even though they knew about The situation 3 days before hand. They did not inform any of their employees until 10 minutes before they were supposed to leave. People have families and children they need to attend to. The amazing nurses chose to work on Christmas due to their love for the patients but the management has no care in the world for Their employees and treat them terrible.

My Mom had been in Apple Valley Center for 5 years, I always went in to see my Mom and they took good care of her. Any concerns I had, I usually told them. I do think they do the best they can, the Nurses, Nurse Practioner Cindy and Aides were good to my Mom. They try to keep the residents occupied with games, activities and entertainment. If you have concerns you should go to their meetings or talk to someone in charge, and they will help you. The home has done the best they could during this Covid outbreak. I do appreciate the staff trying to stay on top of this terrible virus, to keep residents safe. My mom (Alfina) never got Covid in 2021, and her last year 2022 with them her dementia was worse, and she did get Covid. She didn’t last long, and passed away, but God Bless her, she was 100 years old! Thank you to all Nurses, Nurse Practitioner and staff for taking good care of her. I hope they did get the flowers, I sent to thank them, when she passed. Thank you too, for our own doctor, Dr. Sahay, for checking in on my Mom, periodically, also.

My brother has been at Apple Valley for several years now. I have mostly been pleased with communication with staff, staff attention, his care and comfort and hs meals. However, have had issues with facility taking care of his laundry and the sloppiness of hanging his clothes in HIS closet. Several timesI have found other people’s clothing in his closet!!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE. In addition, I think Housekeeping could do a better job cleaning resident rooms and table and window surfaces. So in conclusion, care is excellent, but ancillary services could be better.
Read moreMy experience has been excellent so far, and I don’t have any reason to think it’s gonna change. The staff is above excellent, the food is always good, and the service is exemplary. This is my first experience with a rehabilitation program , and I couldn’t be more pleased.

This is the benefit of living in a small town. A small nursing home attached to a hospital. All through COVID they went above and beyond to keep our loved ones safe. There is a solid core staff that are local and have been there for years, they define dedicated. Is it perfect? No place is, but they listen and respond. They care. They have had staffing challenges but do their best and they truly care, The new Administrator seems very engaged. We are grateful always.
