A very nice facility that feels more like a hotel than a care facility. We would recommend. We picked this community, because of the cost, the staff are great, and it was close to my Dad.

One drawback to me was the rooms were unfurnished and I didn't like the idea that all you see when you look out the window was a walking path, a highway, and a parking lot. The apartments looked fine, and there were choices for the sizes. I talked with the nurse who was the director of memory care, and I liked her. The person who gave me the tour answered all my questions, and it wasn't rushed or anything.

The people we met on our tour of Anthology were great. But I didn't like that their memory care unit was on an upper, rooftop level. So you took the elevator up and basically didn’t come back down, which was a concern. Memory care lacked green space to go walking. (I don't consider astroturf to be green space.) They did have a rooftop patio the residents could go out on, but I just wanted more outdoor space for my loved one to move around. Activities were also a concern.

Our family had an in person tour and we really really liked this place, it would of been one of our top picks but it was just to far away

I think Anthology of Overland Park is a great place. I think for the price, the location, and the facility itself - its great! It's one of the better ones I saw when I was looking. In regards to activities, they watch movies & tv series on Netflix, bingo, musical guests, happy hour, and they recently had a Fathers Day celebration where they brought in outside meals. They have card games, puzzles, and a library with computer access. One thing that was very appealing to me about Anthology is their on-site outpatient rehab facility and services; which include physical & occupational therapy. That was a big selling point for me, personally. My dads apartment is small, but it's big enough for him. It has a handicapped accessible bathroom which is awesome. It's big, with a high toilet and a step-in shower; there's a lot of space in there. He also has a kitchenette that came with a sink and a fridge. Overall I would recommend others to come and check out Anthology.
