I was told by my friend, a resident at Aljola, before arriving to visit him to proceed to the desk to ask for him. I did just that, and after calling the attendent left a message and hung up. I was told by my friend, a resident at Aljola, before arriving to visit him to proceed to the desk to ask for him. I did just that, and after calling the attendent left a message and hung up. I was then told to register myself as a visitor at the machine on a ledge on the opposite wall. After doing that I sat down at the circular seat in the entrance way. Nothing else happened though I was fully visible from the desk. A second person returned from a break or errand. They chatted, both saw me but made no inquiry. I then went up to ask, and was told a message was left at my friend''s number. After half an hour I called him myself, and got him. I found the approach of the front desk to be very laissez-faire, with attitudes that were unattentive and unintiutive for a care facility.
