MEMORY CARE
Memory Care communities provide specialized care designed to help individuals with memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease. The environment is secured allowing residents to explore and wander safely. The staff is typically well trained and more experienced in working with memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease. (Average Monthly Cost $3000-6000)

PERSONAL CARE HOME
Personal Care Homes provide assisted living to residents in a smaller homelike environment. Most are operated by their owners and offer personalized care and social activities. The number of residents varies, but most are less than 10 residents. (Average Monthly Cost $1500-3000)

RETIREMENT LIVING
Retirement Living communities provide residents an active environment designed for independent seniors. Most offer apartment style studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom units with kitchens or kitchenettes. Many offer 1-2 meals in a dining room setting, weekly housekeeping and transportation to shopping and doctor appointments. (Average Monthly Cost $1500-3000)

SENIOR APARTMENTS
Senior Apartments provide apartment living and services designed specifically for independent seniors 55 and older. Most do not offer meals, housekeeping, transportation or medical assistance. Many senior apartments are subsidized and offer lower monthly rates.  (Average Monthly Cost $750-1500)

CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY
Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) provide a continuum of care from independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing all in one location. Amenities typically include daily activities, meals, transportation, housekeeping and laundry. Traditionally, most CCRCs required a buy-in, but now many offer month-to-month leasing. (Average Monthly Cost $2000-6000)

SKILLED NURSING/NURSING HOME
Skilled Nursing facilities are designed for individuals who are in need of 24-hour nursing care. Most are freestanding but some are part of a senior community. Typical services involve managing complex medical problems such as infections, wound care, IV therapy and coma care. CARE MANAGEMENT
Care Management services offer specialized care planning that involves an in person assessment. The care plan typically includes an assessment of daily living needs, physical and mental functioning, medication review, financial resources and a summary of services needed, referrals and suggestions. Most care management services are provided by licensed or certified professionals. (Average Hourly Cost $150-400) 

HOME CARE
Home Care services help individuals with activities of daily living including medications, bathing, dressing, housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation and more. Most are private pay and based on an hourly rate. Services are provided in all types of settings such as private residences, assisted livings, nursing homes, hospitals or wherever the client resides.
