If l could rate it a zero, l would. This place is very disorganized. The care was very poor. When my dad was in quarantine, they left him in dirty diapers which led to skin breakdown. He was often left in bed or placed in dining room alone with no supervision. Food was placed in front of him and he had no means of feeding himself due to low vision. He was rarely offered water . He was often provided a regular diet even though he could not chew and was suppose to be on a low potassium diet due to chronic kidney disease. Dad also has glaucoma. We were told to bring his eye meds, we did but it was never utilized. They later told us to give the eye doctor’s info. We did but there was never any follow up. We enquired daily and was often told that they will follow with earlier shift. My dad had a fall and l was informed by dad’s roommate. The nurse confirmed after l brought it up. Also for over a month, l asked the nurses to have dad meet with facility doctor to check on “suspicious “skin lump on right side of tongue. As expected, there was no follow up. I was provided the same answers, “l will follow up with earlier shift tomorrow”. Lastly , the administrator is a joke. She needs training to learn her role and also how to address family members. You never know who you will meet. On a good note, I want to take the opportunity to thank some of the CNA’s . They worked diligently to ensure that my dad was clean and safe. Thanks! Casa de Ramana was the first that I received any hope regarding my injury. Upon my arrival I remember asking my physical therapist, Chester if I would ever walk again?" He said" of course" and I believed him. And I am walking. My care at Casa de Ramana was exceptional. No waiting for call lites to be answered and all involved in my care actually cared. You could sense it. I would recommend Casa de Ramana Rehab to anyone and ask anyone who may be reading this to do the same. You would not be disappointed. These people are genuine, very real and their hearts are into helping others. It was bittersweet leaving. A special kudos, ❤️ to Jane who went above and beyond to take care in another matter. Thank you all who were involved in me achieving the goals that were set for me. They were high, as I was self contained, at home. I did everything for myself and thanks to Casa de Ramana, I am able to continue my life just like before my injury. I "walked" away, blessed.
