Would give negative stars if allowed. This place is disorganized and totally untrustworthy!!! Management allows staff and residents to steal residents'' stuff. When asked about where items have gone, the staff blame the resident or their families for their misdeeds and mismanagement. Staff is rude and loud. Staff can be heard having extremely loud conversations in residents'' room or hallways and talking about residents to each other in derogatory ways. Staff are extremely slow to respond to resident needs or listen to concerns of residents. Doctors are never around to answer questions or follow up with families.

I would give a negative 5 stars if I could!!! Refusal to attend to patient needs. Refusal to address issues. My mother has been there for over a week. They refuse to let her wear an adult diaper even though she has zero control of her bladder. She is constantly sitting or laying in urine. She tells them when she is nauseous and it takes them 30 minutes to bring medication for it but also bring all her other medications to take. She explains that she can’t take all the pills at once on an empty stomach and they tell her to take them now or not at all. So, she takes them and within 20 minutes she vomits the medication up. Thus, she’s technically not get the life saving medication into her system. Now I understand why the reviews and ratings are extremely low!!!

My mom recently died and had been a resident of Advent for about 3 years. This 3 years included a most difficult Covid period. I was amazed that through the entire 3 years my mom had been treated wonderfully. I could not ask for better treatment, especially under incredibly difficult circumstances. If you take time to visit, everyone treated me with respect, my mom with respect. Too many people have unrealistic expectations of a place such as this. The nurses must work with people that are often very difficult and yet the care must still be provided. They definitely earn a 5 star from me and my family. Thanks Advent
