The outdoor area looked very good. The rooms seemed pretty good, and the showers were accessible. You just have to bring in your own furniture. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of visiting Greensprings Assisted Living. The coordinator was very friendly and answered all my questions and showed me everything I wanted to see.

I visited Greensprings Assisted Living. The best thing is that it's very small. There are only maybe 16 in the whole assisted living side, so you get a lot of personal care. The thing I liked least about it is it's just one-bedroom, a bath, and a small closet. You really don't have very much space. The staff member, she was very nice and friendly. She took us around and showed us everything and all. She's about the only person we saw there. The residents were either in their rooms or gone somewhere, we didn't even see a resident there out and about. The dining area is adequate for 16 people, nothing really special about it. They do have an activities director during the week, and we didn't see a calendar to see what all they had. The grounds were nice, and the way it's put together they're pretty much limited to the backyard mostly. The front is very nice and everything, but there's so many steps to get out to the front. It would be difficult to go out and walk around the front unless you got them to unlock the gate to the fence.

My mother moved into Greensprings Assisted Living. The first week was fantastic, but then not so great, only because there were too many people in that memory care wing who had COVID. My mom does not have COVID, but too many people did, so they've closed it down. I can visit her every day though, I can go to her window and they're very nice about taking my call, or when they come in to check on her and they see I'm at the window, they open the window so we can have an easier time talking to each other. So overall, I'm very pleased with them. But it's just too bad because of the circumstances that after she got there we no longer could visit her right when she was just trying to get settled in. The staff is very helpful. If they're low on staff they call in temps. The temps are not as knowledgeable as the regular staff, but the regular staff impressed me, being very caring and very attentive. Her room is very nice. It's a smallish room, smaller than any room in our house, but it's ten by 12 and we've been able to get a nice twin bed in there so that she's got enough room for her recliner, TV, and those kinds of things. They haven't had any of the activities that are normally planned. They normally have devotionals in the morning, and two activities per day, and none of those have been done. The first week I saw a few of the meals that she was eating. They looked delicious. I think the people are very warm. When I visited three or four times before we had my mom move in, the people and the residents were quite nice.

All of the Staff members are very informative and very warm & caring. They listen to your concerns and have always been very helpful. The facility is very home-like. There are many activities for the residents to participate in. All of the ones living there appear to be happy and content. Lastly, when you enter in the home there is no odor, and it always appears clean. This is a very well run facility with with a remarkable administration and caregivers that make sure that the residents are well cared for.

I volunteered at Greensprings Assisted Living for their fall and spring festivals. It was such a joy to see the interaction between the residents and staff. The names of each one was known and there was an obvious caring between them. Extra effort was made to be sure each resident was comfortable and able to participate in the activities if they wished. The grounds were well kept and inviting. I loved seeing all of the flowers for spring and the areas available for the residents to sit outside or walk by the fish pond.

I'm in the assisted living wing at Green Springs. It's good. I like it here. I wouldn't want to be any place else. I finished my seventh year in August. We have a wonderful staff. We have Christian leaders here in all positions, administrator, business office manager, activity director, and kitchen manager. We have good food here; I enjoy it. We have activities, an activity calendar, and an activity director who participates with us. We have art classes, we have done some paintings, we do games, and we thoroughly enjoy as an entire building the card game, Skip-Bo. We do festivals at least twice a year, sometimes more often. We just have a good time. I have a private bath, a nice closet with refrigerator, and my own private bedroom. I feel like this is a home away from home.
