Foothill Retirement was horrible. I wouldn't even leave my dog there. The place was dirty, old, dingy, and rundown. The people were just sitting around in their wheelchairs along the walls. I was not impressed with the staff. They were not all that interested and bored. One girl kept looking at her watch. They didn't look like they enjoyed their jobs. They were just there. What I saw was a very small and cramped room and you had to share it with someone else.

We had a very brief experience with Foothill Retirement. My husband was only there for two days. I was a little bit upset that even though the director came out to evaluate my husband and accepted him for care in their memory care community, it turned out that it was not a good fit. My husband went downhill as soon as he went into the facility. The staff were mostly women and weren't able to assist him in getting up from the floor. It seemed like that scenario was an entirely new experience for them, which is strange considering the setting (senior care, dementia care.) They called 911 to help him up off the floor, and they even wanted him to be transferred to the ER, even though he had not fallen - he was simply crawling on the floor. There were other male residents at Foothill and not just women, which was one of the things that attracted me there. The place was nice. It was clean. But they just couldn't take care of my husband.
Read morewe toured Foothill and upon first impression it was terrible. the first thing we were told was, "your loved one is going to fall, there will be incidents were she'll be hurt, so expect to receive calls in the middle of the night". this was very upsetting to hear; we left as soon as possible.
My sister in law is raving about the food, she said they are chef prepared meals and they are on the verge of gourmet. I noticed on their Facebook page when people have birthday's they go all out for them. They also post pictures of the activities that they are doing and are just very transparent. ...
My sister in law is raving about the food, she said they are chef prepared meals and they are on the verge of gourmet. I noticed on their Facebook page when people have birthday's they go all out for them. They also post pictures of the activities that they are doing and are just very transparent. They are also adhering to all of the covid restrictions. It seems they are responsive to individual needs. I would definitely recommend them to others looking. All of the staff are very warm and caring.
