The facility offers a secure and home-like environment for our residents. It is located near medical facilities, as well as numerous shopping, dining and recreational facilities. The facility provides our residents with a warm, dignified and caring atmosphere by recognizing the special needs of each and every resident. We have experienced staff to provide security and supervision at all times with our main goal being to assure each resident of living life to the fullest of their capabilities. Our hortonville facility strives to provide care and services in a manner that the resident is encouraged to move toward functional independence in daily living or to continue functioning as independently as possible. We offer numerous recreational activities (both at home and in the community) and here are some examples: Arts, baking, bingo, board games, cards, community concerts, cooking, crafts, exercise, movies, music, outings, pet therapy, picnics, reminiscing, special parties for holidays and birthdays, visitors, volunteers from churches or schools, and walks. We liked that Country Terrace of Wisconsin in Black River Falls was very spacious, open, and had good-sized apartments or rooms. The people there were friendly and welcoming; that was good. It was clean, neat, and well-kept. The staff member who gave me the tour was very informative, we were impressed. The facility and the grounds looked nice, and it's in a nice location. They did have a beauty salon where someone came in a couple of times a month. There are activities, and I think there was also age-appropriate exercise available. It was more intimate. There were fewer people there.
