We have had our in-laws at Fields for the last 1.5 years. The cleanliness, atmosphere, and staff are absolutely amazing.

My cousin moved to Big Rapids Fields Assisted Living & Memory Care. The appearance was all great, though they need to work on their menu and their food a little better. The upkeep of the place was all good. The room just looks like a room, there's only so much you can do with that. The staff is pleasant and the services are good, they just need to work on their food and bring warm meals, not cold. They have quite a few activities like having a Memorial Day cookout, they play bingo, and they bring service animals in.

We chose the Big Rapids Fields Assisted Living & Memory Care. It looks good. It was clean, the people were nice, and at most, everything was all inclusive in the pricing, so you didn't have to go home and do a bunch of math to figure out what the price was actually going to be. The bedroom is furnished, and the TVs and the cable and everything is furnished, so I think what's not furnished is phone services, because most people have cell phones, but they will put in a landline if you need it, but you'll have to pay for it. They have a patio, they have activities, and they have entertainment coming in. The laundry, the care, the housekeeping, the basic cable vision, linen service, towels, everything, it's all included, even the shampoo and soap. It makes it a lot easier to move them in, you don't have to cart so much furniture. The staff was really nice, and she was helpful with information. It's brand new, they've only been open since February. It was just more convenient for us. We live in Big Rapids, and it only took 12 minutes to get to The Fields.
