Palm Bay Memory Care was not as home-like another community I toured. Much more hospital like. Long, long hallways. Didn't see much staff when I was there.
Management is new and not very productive. The head nurse was excellent, but she was discouraged with management and left. Due to a lack of staff, my mom fell several times and her last day there she was on the floor of the bathroom with a bump on her head at 9:00 am. No one checked on her that morn...
Management is new and not very productive. The head nurse was excellent, but she was discouraged with management and left. Due to a lack of staff, my mom fell several times and her last day there she was on the floor of the bathroom with a bump on her head at 9:00 am. No one checked on her that morning or fed her breakfast. I do not recommend this facility. It would be better if they had a larger staff. The residents were always falling due to a lack of supervision.
